Anyone have experience with Simple Tech Hard Drives?

I know they aren't Seagate, Western Digital, or Maxtor but they do have a three year warranty ...

They don't make Harddrives, they just make enclosures for them and bundle other brand drives like Hitachi (IBM).

That's what I thought. I looked breifly, and couldn't find any mfg info on SimpleTech. If I'm not mistaken, I don't think they make their memory cards either- they're just an OEM marketer. (?)

I've never personally dealt with their products but their website says they do:

OK, my bad.

Ah Z, sorry about that, I read your post wrong. No I think you are right they most likely rebrand memory cards too. I misread you post to mean "do they also sell memory cards."

Well, they say they do mfg, they may assemble their own memory cards, but I KNOW they don't mfg semiconductor devices (i.e.- ala Samsung).

I always thought of them as a 're-labeling' house. I could be wrong..

They sound like a re-labeling house to me.

As for the original question, either way they definitely don't make their own HDs. I don't like going through additional middle men with computer products so I would recommend buying some made directly from the big boys: Seagate, Western Digital, Hitachi (IBM) or Samsung.
