Random black box predicts future?

Normally I'd laugh at this stuff, but "random" has been on my mind for a long time. Einstein said "God does not play dice" when talking about quantum mechanics, responding to the seemingly random way in which small particles behave. But I've had this growing notion that randomness plays a huge role in our universe, and this (if true) seems to confirm it.

Strange, strange world we live in. I'm glad I'm getting a physics degree.

Probably something to do with the process of making random numbers? Come on, don't hold back.

They were talking about this on Coast to Coast a week back. Ducc, if you have not listened to it check it out.

As for my thoughts on the issue, nothing can be truely random if produced with a computer. Though I don't believe anything is truely random, IMO these "random" things are always derived of multiple layers of complex interactions and occurences. Now in regards to predicting anything using just "random" numbers it makes no sense. If they said they were paralleling all the worlds super computers to make predictions based on large volumes of data I would buy it.

I think the same people who believe it Dr Koo Koos string theory would buy this.

Another thing, the more data you have to work with the more accurate the end results. A perfect example was this past election. I was able to use the polling data from www.realclearpolitics.com and past elections to almost perfectly predict the outcome of the election.
