"There’s no question that they’re leveraging a monopolistic position to limit customer choice," said Chris Paden a Symantec spokesman.

This is a no win solution. The more secure Microsoft makes Vista the less of a market there is for third party security software. To be honest I have always been less then excited with most third party security software and Symantec's bloated system performance robbing crap I will not miss. thumbsdown.gif

I love this one:
QUOTE
Last week the European Union’s spokesman on competition, Jonathan Todd, warned that the market could be threatened if Microsoft doesn’t allow security vendors a fair chance of competing.

So....M$ has to make a virus-prone OS in order to allow third party vendors to "fix" it?

Sorta like saying Detroit should make (more) lemons so the local repairman can make a living.

For the record, I've always suspected that Norton/Symantec has trashed more computers than all the viruses put together.
