UPDATE: I've found the script on IMSDB and it makes no mention of Greedo ever firing a shot. Here it is:

Regardless of what the author of the piece above thinks, the IMSDB ANH script is far from a smoking gun. (No pun intended, of course.) I've seen many instances where online scripts (yes, even at IMSDB) have been tampered with and/or gotten mucked up. For instance, one of the most popular ROTJ scripts online has the Falcon blowing up and Lando dying (!) at the final battle but yet Lando magically pops up alive several scenes later! And besides, as I understand it, scenes/scripts are often tinkered with on set, so even if Lucas had scripted Han to just shoot it does not mean that when he got on set he couldn't have changed his mind and now wanted Greedo to shoot first. Not a big fan of Lucas as a person, but fair is fair.
