Title: "Battle for Heartbreak Ridge"
Date: October 24th & 25th 2009
Host Field: Hosted by Barney at the famous World Cup Woodsball fields, Paintball Sports Inc. in Plattekill, NY.
Early Registration: Prior to October 16th 2009, pre-reg cap of 1,000 Players with limited walk-on so SIGN UP NOW!

Format : the game will be a new scenario format built by players for players, details can be found at BlackMarketWar.com

Black Market : Barney and the Black Market Mercenaries will be a third entity that both teams must contend with. Either team can complete mission from the Black Market for Gold and use this Gold to buy props, weapons, tanks, and actual members of Barney's Black Market Mercenaries.

Player Hospitality Party : will be hosted Friday and Saturday Evening by BLUE, DEUCE, and BLUE'S CREW.

Historical Background: Battle for Heartbreak ridge is based off of the Korean war battle between the UN forces and the Korean Public Army (Wiki History). UN forces led by the 2nd infantry division were tasked with trying to take and hold a 7 mile ridge line just north of the 38th parallel. This communist strong hold proved to be more challenging than the UN was prepared for. From September 13th – October 15th the UN forces pounded the entrenched enemy with tank and mortar fire by day, and the KPA took back all ground they lost each night. How the outcome of this battle is decided is up to you!

Battlefield Layout: The game will kickoff with a massive battle for the ridge. Missions will continue until dusk on the 60 acre Ridge fields. Night games begin with an all out battle in our City and surrounding fields, followed by night ops. Sunday we will continue the battle on our 70 acre Ponderosa fields.

Tentative Schedule:

Friday – early registration and paint sales available Noon - 6pm

Saturday - reservations open at 8am
10:30 am - game orientation
11:00 am - open main insertion/chrono points for the first battle
12:00 noon - game begins with the battle for the ridge
5:00 pm - dinner break
6:00 pm - insertion points for field 2 night battle will open
6:30 pm - night battle will start

Sunday - reservations and sales will open at 8am
8:30 am - mini re-orientation
9:00 am - insertion points and chrono stations will open on field 3
10:00 am - game will begin with the battle for Ambush Pines
4:00 pm - game ends
5:00 pm - release of total scores, awards and prizes.
