The swamps of the continent is a cruel place, but the notorious Easter Swamps, located on the eastern coast, is the worst of them all. Every year, an average of two thousand people is claimed by this swamp. The marshes here is said to pull you down and bury you deep underground. Huge unspeakable beasts lurk here, waiting to catch an unsuspecting prey. Worst of all, the place stank of rotten carcasses and wood, and huge vents sends toxic steam high up into the air, shrouding the swamps in a blanket of poisonous fog.

This place is dangerous, but if you know how to navigate correctly, it isn't that bad at all. Dr. Howard Engles had spent the last two hours making his way through the damp swamps. Armed with nothing but a short sword used for hacking the dead trees and a small pistol, the doctor had survived everything the swamp had thrown at him. He managed to survive because he knew a secret passage, far from the poisonous vents and deadly marshes, a path only known to a few. And for two hours, he had followed this path.

Dr. Engles' personal transport couldn't find a suitable landing spot here, so they were forced to land outside the swamps. From there, the doctor found the path and followed it. He hacked his through some dead trees and found a small clearing. In the middle of the clearing was a small cottage. Smiling, Dr. Engles made his way down a wooden causeway and entered it.

There was no furniture or anything inside the cottage. In fact, there was only a small wooden door on the ground. Engles opened it, revealing a wooden staircase. He took a deep breathe and entered. Though it was pitch back, Engles knew that cameras were following him. This was a security measure designed to prevent intruders from entering. At the bottom of the stairs was a huge metal door, with glowing number pad to the right of it. Dr. Engles stepped up to the pad and typed a code, with opened the door.

Smiling, Dr. Engles entered.

Phantom was already there when Dr. Engles entered the huge underground chamber. He and several other members of the Church of Cedor bowed and said, "All hail the Grand Cardinal, Supreme Leader of the Church of Cedor."

(OOC: Sorry for the short post, I'm kinda busy.)

Dr. Engles walked up to the front of the huge underground chamber and sat down in a throne made out of pure gold. "Be seated everyone," Dr. Engles seat, beckoning everyone to sit down. He looked around, one chair is empty. Lord Sendokaze was no here. "Why is he always late," Dr. Engles muttered to himself.

Just as the meeting was about to start, James D. Doran, the Lord Sendokaze entered the room. Everyone stared at him, and no one said a word. James shrugged and said, "Sorry for the delay. I bring the most disturbing news. General Tarkan, Governor-General of the Northern Provinces has declared his full support to the rebels and is defecting."

Dr. Engles was surprised by this news. This would most certainly delay the plans he had. Looking at James, he said, "General Tarkan rebelled. You are sure of this?"

"If it is someone like General Tarkan, I'm not surprised. He is a coward, affiliating with whoever holds the most power. In the north, the rebels are stronger so he supports them. I bet when our war machines roll into the Northern Provinces, he will be begging for a peace treaty," Phantom said. The others nodded in approval and started muttering among themselves.

"I agree with Phantom," James said, nodding in agreement, "I think the best idea right now is to threaten to invade his territory, forcing him to exterminate the rebels for us. Then we can send in a group of assassins to kill him. That will save us the manpower to deal with the rebels."

"I agree with you, but his rebellion has delayed my plans. We must make sure he is disposed of before he ruins something else," Dr. Engles said. He then pressed a button on his throne and a huge screen came out of the ceiling behind him. Several pictures of documents appeared on it.

Dr. Engles waved at the screen and said, "I believe you are all familiar with something called Project Hyde? It was a top secret government project headed by me, to create an army of hybrids for the United States military. They shut it down in the 1990s and locked the whole army up underground in a facility known as Area 51. Fortunately, Area 51 survived the Transformation with its hybrid army intact. I was planning to activate the army much later but recent events has forced me to activate it now.

"Activating the hybrids would give the Empire a huge advantage. It will make the rebels lose quicker and will not draw unwanted attention to ourselves," Phantom said. The others agreed as well.

"I will be the one who decides when the rebels shall fall. For now, I shall only activate enough hybrids to make sure the rebels are at bay," Dr. Engles said, "when the time is right, we shall unleash the full force of the Cedor."

Engles got up and continued, "The other matter I wish to speak to you about is the rise of pagan religion. The rebels are tolerant of them, but the Church cannot! I will do everything in my power to convince the Empire that the pagans pose a threat and needs to be exterminated. Meanwhile, I want all of you to secretly spy on the priests and dispose of them. The pagans is a danger to our ascension and they need to be exterminated. Is that understood?"

"Your word is law, Holy One," Phantom said, bowing down, along with the other members of the Church. Once the Cardinal gives the order, everyone bound to the Church must complete it.

"Your loyalty to me and the Church will not go to waste," Dr. Engles said, "now for the real reason why we are here. Phantom, why don't you start us off and tell us what is going on in the Rebel base?

Phantom stepped up and said, "The rebels are currently gathering information about the government's experiments and are recruiting scientists to help construct their own weapons. Raids on imperial outposts declined this month, as the rebels are preparing their forces for something big."

Phantom took a deep breath and continued, "I recruited about twenty rebels for our cause and they have converted to our great religion. One of them is a high ranking security officer, who may provide us with some support should we wish to attack the rebel base."

Engles nodded and said, "That is good. He can be of some use to us when the time comes. What about you James? What have you to report?"

OOC: It feels so weird, replying to your own post O_o

"Ten more commanders have converted to our great religion," James said, "I've also bribed the president of the Geneva Shipyards to secretly make fighters and airships for us. The CORE Cloning Facilities has also pledged their allegiance to us."
