Introduction:

55 B.C.

Before the creation of Christianity, before the founding of Islam, there was another great religion, believed by many inhabitants of Europe and Northern Africa. This religion worships a powerful god named Cedor, who was believed to have created the universe and filling it with life. It was also said, that when Cedor created life on the planet Earth, he created a paralleled world, called the Spirit World, where the spirits that keeps the human world running lives. A fragile barrier separated the two worlds and for centuries, the worshipers of Cedor tended this barrier, making sure it was stable. They formed the Church of Cedor, which was the predecessor of the modern Roman Catholic Church and was led by a Grand Cardinal.

Towards the first century A.D., the Romans began growing fearful of this religion and began persecuting it. Thousands of believers were killed and the barrier between the two worlds was further weakened. The remnants of the Church fled underground and hid from the oppressive Romans, but continued to tend the barrier.

400 A.D.

The Western Roman Empire is about to fall and Christianity is becoming more powerful. However, they too feared the Church of Cedor and began a massive campaign the annihilate them. By the end of the fourth century A.D., there were fewer than three hundred Church believers in Europe and they were erased from almost all history books. The Church of Cedor was forgotten.

1313 A.D.

Though the Vatican believed the Church of Cedor to be gone, it was actually underground, breeding in secret and gathering support. Too occupied dealing with the Knights Templar, the Vatican forgot about the Church, who was slowly building its army to oppose the Roman Catholic Church. The Church of Cedor, now led by Grand Cardinal James Howard Engles, promised a day when the the believers would ascend to heaven and and the non-believes killed. This would be known as Judgment Day, and for this to happen, Engles prophesied a day when the spirit world would merge with the human world in what will be known as the Transformation, which will happen precisely in the year 2034 A.D.

And so, Engles began weakening the barrier. However the Church's magic was too weak to destroy it, so Engles' plan did not work. In the year 1315, the Church suddenly disappeared. No one knew where they went, or what happened to them but the Church of Cedor completely vanished. For the next six hundred years, no one would ever hear from the again.

Project Hyde

1958 A.D.

The Cold War grips Earth, as the United States of America and the Soviet Union competes to see who has more superior weapons. In 1958, the CIA began commissioning scientists for what they call Project Hyde, an attempt to build a human super soldier. However, most scientists did not like this idea, but one man, named Howard Engles, presented to the CIA plans to build a Hybrid soldier, a half-man and half-demon. The government scoffed at this idea, but when Engles turned up with a prototype, he was immediately hired.

Engles was a mysterious man, no one knew about him or his background. No country has records on him, though an ancient history book did mention a man named James Howard Engles. However,as his project began producing good results, the issue of his background was dismissed. By 1960, the U.S. has two thousand of these hybrid soldiers.

1993 A.D.

With the Cold War coming to an end, the United States government decided to shut down Project Hyde. The tens of thousands of Hybrids were deactivated and hid deep underground. Meanwhile, the still young Dr. Engles talked to President Clinton about another world, and somehow got him to fund a project to find this other world, known as Project Hyde Phase II. To his day, no one know why President Clinton agreed.

2034 A.D.

On April 24, the United Nations, backed by the United States, Russia, China, India, and many other nations, decided to transform itself into the First Empire of Earth, or simply known as the Empire. However on the exact same date, a secret government plant in the Arizona desert exploded, creating a huge explosion that finally broke the barrier between the spirit and the human world. The Transformation that Grand Cardinal Engles promised hundreds of years ago finally happened. This lead many to believe that Engles is not only the Cardinal but also the Prophet of Cedor himself, leading the believers to Judgment Day.

The Transformation changed the face of Earth. The many continents now combined to form one super continent and many species of animals were killed, replaced by new ones. Half of the human population was wiped out overnight. Those who survived knows nothing of a planet called Earth, the only planet they know is the one they live on. Surprisingly, the Imperial Leaders were unharmed and declared martial law within the continent. All of private rights and freedom was stripped, and the new laws were enforced by the Empire's army.

Immediately after the Transformation, a cold front descended, bringing another Ice Age. Crops failed and thousands starved to death. The Empire did little to help. They placed heavy taxes and takes food and money from the citizens at will. Those who does not comply was executed. Peaceful protests were put down by force and many innocents were slaughtered. The Imperial troops torched town after town and killed anyone caught breaking even the smallest law.

It is during these dark and turbulent era, that Rebellion began. The locals, finally tired of of the Imperial laws, banded together to form the Alliance to Restore Democracy. We were called Rebels by the Empire and hunted down. However this did not stop us, as we continue to fight back.

2 A.T. (After Transformation) (2035 A.D.)

It has been a year since the Transformation and the Rebellion. The Ice Age grows worst, and so does Imperial opposition against us Rebels. They attack random villages and kill innocents. They deny the civilians food and medicine from the poor yet continue to demand taxes. The recent Geneva Massacre shows they care not about human life but only for their own purpose. They have gone too far, and they will be stopped. The Alliance to Restore Democracy will destroy the Imperial and bring justice for all.

This is our story.
