MOST IMPORTANT. FOLLOW THE RULES.
-->basics
respect
probably one of the most abused words out there now and days. I will not tolerate any means of disrespectfulness. That means no fighting, no harassment, and no assaulting out of character. That includes C-box and Private Message. Anything that happens over E-mail or AIM is up to you to fix, since it is not linked to the board. If you harass, fight, or abuse the C-box, you will get a warning, and then be banned from the c-box. If you harass, fight, or assault someone over PM, you will be warned once, and then banned. end of story.
admins
do not ever ask to be an admin, I chose my own team. Admins and moderators run the board as best as they can, so cut them slack. But the admins words are the law on the board. Do not question them, do not fight against them, unless there is a right to fight against them. If things aren't going well, or if your conflicting with an admin, speak with another admin, that's why there are others. Now, don't think we're mean or anything. No, we just need to keep the board under control. Also, some admins have certain jobs, so don't ask one admin to do something that he or she can't. they are in control.
leaving
please let us know when you are gone. There is a leaving board in the Out of Character boards, and it is important to let us know if you are leaving us or are going away for a bit on a trip. There's nothing against a vacation or a stressful work load. We all have been there and understand, but we do like to know that you won't be posting for a period of time. This also goes for if you just can't find your muse to post. Mind you, if you lose muse for a character for too long, we will request for you to drop the character, especially if it’s a canon. courtesy is a great thing.
rating
know your limit and go by it. Personally, I prefer having the freedom to let anything happen. In this kind of roleplay, drugs, sex, and other things often considered a high rating are allowed, making this board R, allowing NC-17. It all depends on how descriptive you make the thread. You don't have to hold anything back, but keep it realistic and make sure if you don't push the limits of the other roleplayers you are roleplaying with. Ask before you do anything that might be considered over the limit. Because of this freedom, if you’re young, under eighteen, please make sure you are able to handle anything that happens, even if it doesn't happen to your character. This is a warning. don't push your luck.
-->characters
registering
read before you leap. Make sure that before you register that everything you need or look for in a site is there. I don't like it when someone joins but then realized this play-by has been taken or this wasn't the site they thought it was. It's really annoying, so make sure you know your facts. Now, when you do register, register as your character's first, middle and last name in lower case. Example: john henry joe, jane jordan doe. Don't register as hottie7876 or something like that. just follow the rules please.
numbers
don't lose count. A player can have as many characters as a player can handle. Don't over load yourself, and don't create a character just for the fact you want a certain play-by. I want all characters created by someone to be as active as possible. They need plots, topics, everything. Some people can handle a lot of characters and some can only handle a few. Don't pressure people to make more characters then they can handle. know your limit.
no-nos
you should know this by now. This is the general rule of all roleplaying, the basics that everyone needs to know and follow. Those key terms you hate to hear. No god-moding, mary-sues, the works. God-moding is controlling another person's character. Minor godmoding, VERY minor godmoding is fine, but you have to understand. It has to be very minor. If the other player feels like you have control his/hers character too much, then they have the right to make you change your post. If you continue to do it, you will get a warning, then get banned. Mary-sues are perfect characters. No one is perfect. NO ONE. Give them flaws, physically, mentally, everything. Don't go overboard on the past though. Not everyone has had a bad past and such, so try and limit it, please. just keep it to reality.
extra
such an organization. For sigs and avatars, the limits are so. Sigs can be no longer then 530px and no taller then 300px. Avatars are set at 100x100 only. Sigs can have icons in them, as long as they do not expand the site. If a sig is too larger, we will request for you get shrink it or get another one. There are no restrictions on words in a sig or avatar, but if someone complains, we will ask for you to change it. Sigs don't have to looked professionally done, and if you don't have access to a sig, ask for someone to make you one in the graphics request form. it helps readers see the characters.
-->roleplaying
literacy
we are passed the second grade. Post need to be full, descriptive, and explained. The minimum a post can have is two, five sentence paragraphs. Maximum is whatever you want to post. Maybe not a term paper worth, but just don't go below two paragraphs. I can understand brain dead days, but if the other or others you are playing with request that your post have more content, then you need to add more, since small post drain muse. There will be no chat speak in character, save it for the C-box or for the out of character boards. Distinguish when a character is speaking, or thinking, with "" or ' '. It also helps when you bold where they are talk, italizing when they are thinking, or changing the color of the text for both. good post mean good replies
warnings
nobody wants to see that. Even though the board is R - NC-17, that's not going to stop innocent guest or people wanting to avoid that from reading a thread. They are going to go read it and get the surprise of their life. So, for safety reason, if a thread gets a bit gory or sexual, whoever started the topic, just edit your post to where at the top it has in big, BIG letters, the words "WARNING - *insert explanation*". If you know before you start a topic that something is going to happen, then just put it in your topic title or topic description. That way everyone is warned and there will be no excuses when someone complains about something. just better for us all.
-->yourself
behaving
keep it fair. Again, when you are out of character, be mature, be nice, and calm down. Try to stay off of subjects that will cause a fight. I'm not saying don't be yourself, but let’s try to avoid unnecessary problems. When an admin request you to tone down something, please follow. When members, plural, tell you to tone it down, please follow. [read the rules: 'sushi in tuxedos in the clam's casino']. It's very depressing to have to ban a great roleplayer because he or she was pushing the limits of other players. It's better for the site not be caught in out of character drama, instead of in character drama. be yourself but listen and watch.
site
keep watch of that that you can't always see. A lot things change over time. Make sure to keep up with the site and with your threads. It's more out of politeness then anything. There will be news updates, and the season will change. Other things will come along, like activity checks, nominations, and even admin positions. It's better to know the site you join then find out about it later. This helps keep the site fair. Suggestions and questions will be answered as soon as possible. And characters will be accepted as soon as possible, so don't pressure the admins or the rest of the site. Do not post if you have not been accepted, please. And guest can only post on the advertisement, suggestion/question, and leaving forums. thank for helping with the sites progression.
forbidden
what is yours, is yours. I will not tolerate stolen literature, character profiles, plots, or anything of the sort. If someone steals from another site, you will be banned. And if someone steals from here, a warning will go out to the board where the person is using the stolen material. The site's plot, graphics, and ideas are owned by the head admin. Do not take. Characters registered on the site are copyrighted to their owner, so do not take. It is wrong to steal, and if I have seen that you have stolen from someone, then you will face punishment. It is a crime called plagiarism. So do not press your luck. luck never last forever.
MORE WILL BE ADDED AS SEEN FIT.
