ENTRY#2

Presenting:

Pernicious Penguin Pwnage

Act I

{scene 1}

Percy Parthenon (a paunchy person, perhaps 25 years old) awakes, full of piss and vinegar.
He was persuaded to perambulate the plaza late night prior, and promptly was beset by provincial guards, who mistook him for the recently-escaped felon, Peter.

Percy sings "Perhaps":

Perhaps they will burn for this
Perhaps I shall find my stapler
Perhaps I will find love
More likely I will find my stapler

{scene 2}

Peter, the escaped male prostitute, runs into Percy in the streets.
A duet ensues (a la "Confrontation" from Les Miserables). Percy pulls a pistol and kidnaps Peter.

{scene 3, Percy's basement}
Chained to a wall, Peter soliloquizes, pensive for his freedom:

Let Me Out
Let Me Go
I have to Piss!

INTERMISSION

Act II

{scene 1}
Percy draws near to Peter, and removes the manacles that hold him. Peter responds with by not pulling his punches - an uppercut to the face.
Percy sings his sorrow:

I am a poor man
I need no sympathy
Please let me live
Peter must be punished!

{scene 2}
The epic confrontation:
Percy prowls outside Peter's premises.
When Peter steps outside, Percy promptly provides a persuasive song:
Peter, you are a whore
Pencil in your stay in the gaol
Pack your provisions
And enjoy being a call-male

{scene 3}
Peter, locked in the jail, smiles winsomely as a policeman stands behind him, pantsless...

Patrick's Pride

This play will feature Patrick, a lonely man alone in Philadelphia, working as a struggling pointillism painter. One day, after receiving an eviction notice and having his girlfriend Polly leave him, Patrick spends all night drawing a picture of a parrot.

He then breaks out in song: "Patrick's Predicament" in which he laments his life, refraining the chorus "No more parties any more/life is hard when you are poor." At the close of the song, Patrick sheds a tear which falls on his painting of his parrot.

All of a sudden, the parrot starts to move, and comes to live, flying out of the parchment! Patrick is aghast, and once even more so once the parrot starts singing "No Longer Petrified!" With many puns, of course, on the word "Petrified," detailing both Patrick's emotions and Paul the Parrot's former state.

Later, the new team embarks on the perilous quest of raising money to pay Patrick's rent. Paul has the idea of publicly performing, painting, and a comedy routine, which they do to raise the money, even catching the eye of Polly at one of the shows! One number is "Performance Time!"

However, once they've raised the money, a dark man steals all the money! Paul and Patrick are once again put down, and sing the number "Pissed and Pained" describing how their money has been taken.

Paul the Parrot tracks down the thief, who reveals himself to be Pablo the Pilferer! They all sing "Perilous Plight!" Paul attacks, and Pablo wins, until Patrick comes and picks up a pink pike and pokes Pablo! They sing "Pure Victory!"

They go back to their place, and Polly is waiting for them, giving Patrick a peck on the cheek and taking him back. Paul explains that he is a powerful spirit, and must depart, leaving into the painting. The cast reunites and sings "Precisely," noticing how Patrick's portrait of Paul is perfect.

GlaDOS continuously references her previous subject with emotions ranging from sadness to a strange sense of pride in her defeat. GlaDOS spends much of the time reminiscing by herself, but will also mention it to the current subjects in various ways: "You wouldn't leave me, right?", "She succeeded in 8.4 seconds.", "I have been burned before."

For their part, the test subjects also have a range of songs often dripping with fear and rage. Whenever a participant does not pass, the chorus sings a welcome and a curse at the machine.

The Passion of Peter Piper, the Pied Pumpkin Eater

This powerful new musical is in the vein of Stephen Sondheim's Into The Woods; it is a new take on and mash-up of nursery rhymes and faery tales; specifically, centred on on the titular character of Peter, of Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater fame; also he is the Peter Piper who picked a peck of pickled peppers. Unbeknownst to many, he was also the famous Pied Piper who charmed the rats and then the children of Hamlen. This is his story.

The Plot opens with Peter, sitting pessimisticly, in a deep funk. He had been a successful pumpkin and pepper farmer, and his wife's pickled peppers were famous kingdom wide. However, a terrbile rat infestation had destroyed his plots, leaving a paucity of profitable plants. The bank had forclosed on his farm, and he had been forced to house his wife in the remains of his largest pumpkin shell. She claimed to be kept very well, but he knew that she was put off. He then resolved to find another source of income, and polished up his pipe and patched his pied plaid pants. He discovered that his melodies charmed the rats away from his property, and planned on profiting from his playing. He went to Hamlin, which also had a plague of rats. The people pleaded with him to purge the pests, and promised plenty of properity. He then piped away the rats, as predicted. However, the populace petulantly pulled back on their pledge, leaving Peter penniless. Provoked, Peter, in a fit of pique, played passionately like he had never piped before, charming the pants off the teens of the town. They became his fans, and left their parents to follow Peter on a popular and profitable concert tour of the Kingdom as his roadies. It ends with Peter pulling up to his old pumpkin shell home in a pimped out version of his previous pied outfit, and picking up his wife to take her off to a rock star lifestyle.

Selected Songs:
"Got to Pick a Pepper or Two" (To the tune of "Got to pick a pocket or two") - Peter Piper
"The Blaming of Rats" (To the tune of "The Naming of Cats", from Cats) - Peter Piper and his wife, chorus of the rats.
"Pumpkin House Blues" - Peter Piper's wife.
"Do you Hear the Piper Play?" (To the tune of Do you Hear the People Sing) - Peter Piper, charming the rats.
"Pah! We won't Pay!" - Townsfolk
"Children will listen (to sweet pipe music)" (Pipe Rock Ballad version of "Children will listen", from Into The Woods) - Town teenagers.
"I'm Popular!" (remix of Popular) - Peter Piper, to his wife, upon returning home rich and famous.

Introducing the latest Broadway soon-to-be-hit: Practically Perfect!

This show is all about Mary Poppins in her little-known early years, before she joined the Banks family. It features such peppy poems as "Picking Primroses in the Park," "Pennies Piled Precariously," and "A Perfect Partner."

Poppins prances and prattles her way through the world, meeting a plethora of folk from princes to paupers. She makes friends, falls in love, and suffers heartbreak. At last, with her formerly perky prospects dimming, she sings "Patience and Persistence," dons a proper outfit, and sets off with hope in her heart to become a governess. The end.
