((I'm sorry it took me so long. I kept forgetting. ;_;))

I don't want to go to class. I just don't want to go.

Then don't.

Easy enough, the little conflict in his mind was over within seconds. If you didn't want to sit in class and here someone ramble on and on about the problems in the world then the easiest thing to do was to simply not put yourself in that situation. It made a lot of sense. In fact, it was common sense. If only attendance slips didn't matter. There was always a punishment for it and it'd show off in his grades for sure and in any repercussions that came his way due to it. Then his father would give him that age old lecture about how he understood his need for freedom and how he would do the exact same thing, except, 'you've just gotta go to school, mate.'. What type of lecture was that anyway? His father would never, ever be mad about it. Oh, no because he understood too much. He was too eccentric himself but still tried to enforce some sense of maturity.

It didn't work.

So, instead of taking his book and going to class, he shoved it back in his locker and slammed it shut tight. Everyone continued to go on past him, scurrying around so fast to try to get to class before that bell rang. Instead of following suit, he leaned up against his locker, his big brown eyes adverted to the ceiling dreamily. There had to be something funner to do. Now just to find out what. Narrowing those dark spheres, he turned his attention to his passing classmates. Something fun. Something fun.

Elizabeth Swann

In the hallway, walking down the hall was Elizabeth Swann. She got away usually with a bit more due to her status, but she often tried to prove that she was like anyone else. Still, the teachers gave her an elevated rank above other students...not that most would mind that. Elizabeth never broke the rules, no, she did toe the line and try her father's patience, but she never, never crossed the line completely.

Class wasn't exactly the place the teenager wanted to be in, after all, they were the same...all the teacher had the same attitude in this school about education and nothing seemed to change their minds. Her father hired the same types of teachers and the same sort of people to educate high school kids and it bored Elizabeth to senselessness. The only teacher who was horrible to her as every other student was Jones.

Spotting Jack in the hall, she made her way over and folded her hands behind her back. 'Jack Sparrow...I wondered if you were coming in today at all,' she said with an amused smile. 'Certainly have me by surprised.'

It was no secret that Elizabeth liked Jack as well as two other boys in the school and it was hardly a secret that James Norrington fancied Elizabeth. Still, Jack attracted her interest because he was so reckless and free of spirit. It was something Elizabeth wished she could be as well, but never let herself be.

Jack's dark eyes lifted to the girl that approached him. A grin slowly crept across his lips at the sight of Elizabeth there. Every girl that followed rules as she did, he assumed had a deeper yearning for something more than that. Anyone that had to live by the rules had to! He could never imagine a life of rules and regulations. He was all about his freedom and that was one thing that he wasn't being given in school. He could only find that out of class and out of the strict eye of his teachers.

"Well, I'd have rather spent my time elsewhere. Not exactly my favourite place, after all. But I'm full of surprises." Well, that wasn't a lie. He had plenty of surprises but because he did, he felt that made him predictable. You could expect the unexpected when it came to him-- Or the expected. Jack Sparrow felt he was a complicated youth to say the least. "Shouldn't you be running along to class?"
