Physical description: Astin, despite having lived in LA most of his life, is still quite pale. He's not unhealthily white, just naturally light skinned. He has light blond hair that nearly glows under the dimly lit rooms he's used to, along with baby blue eyes and features that his mother likes to call cherubic. His fashion sense, however, is far from angelic. You'll be hard pressed to find Astin in something other than jeans, a tight tee under a button down shirt, and his leather jacket. He sometimes forgoes the tee, leaving his top buttons undone to show off his necklace, a leather thong with a strange coin tied to it. He has a tattoo on his back, spanning his shoulders and ending midway down his back of intricately designed wings. His long, skinny fingers are adorned with silver rings, and most of the time, his nails are painted black.

Personality description: Astin's basic view on life is to just make it until he graduates. After that, he can do whatever the fuck he wants with his life. School is a means to an escape for him, so he does just enough to get by and graduate. However, his motivation has paled some with his recent move, but he'll stop smoking before he doesn't get his diploma. Friends, well, they're nice to have but not necessary. He does hope to find a band of some sort though, because the one thing he is passionate about is his music.

Family history: Astin's childhood was rather normal. A middle class family living in the 'burbs of LA, three kids, a dog and a white picket fence. The whole picture. One not quite-so-normal thing was that they had moved from France right after Gabby was born, putting French-speaking Astin into kindergarten with only minimal English. He never really fit in with any of the kids until he reached junior high. There, he started making friends through music and got more involved with the piano, much to his parents' delight.
But... he also started getting involved with other things too. Sex, drugs and rock and roll became prominent in his life. The only thing he got addicted to was smoking, which his family ignored. But they couldn't ignore walking in on him making out in his room... with another boy. His conservative family struggled to understand before coming to a conclusion. They sent Astin off to live with his cousins in Orlando, believing that it was the LA way of living that made him bisexual. Of course, the whole thing is ridiculous to Astin, but maybe here in Orlando he'll find his niche. Until then, he's just the mysterious new guy in town.
