He’d locked himself up in his apartment for most of the day. He was tried of people coming to see him, tried of endless groveling and fake smiles. People were becoming dull and increasing in number ever since he’d come back into the capital after his imposed exile by his father Malik was already bored of all of it.

Turning over invitations in his hands Malik discard them into the bin, what did he care about what’s her names dinner party or whoever’s gala. The letters that all held the same ‘welcome home’ went the way as the invitations. Apparently even with a new Queen nothing ever changed. He had hoped that after three months of social exile someone in his circles might have become interesting. Sitting back Malik picked up the glass of scotch from his desk.

“Nineteen and already bored.” He stared down at the green jewel draped around his neck before bringing the glass to his lips. “Sad.”

Being the Queen of Dhemlan was not an easy task. Particularly when you were not a Queen who had been voted in to the position or the heir to the previous Queen. So along with all the responsibilities that came with the running of a Territory (which she did on her own because she had no Court to rely upon), she also had to deal with the every day challenges. And despite the depth of her power, she couldn't dismiss the challenges as being little more then annoyances. The Ebon Gray and Sapphire only had so much power and the continuous drain that these battles placed upon her steadily drained at that reservoir of power. And she didn't even want to think about those three days of her moontime when she was the most vulnerable.

She didn't particularly trust Christan, her resident moocher (although he did help a bit around in restoring the Keep), but at least his presence in the Keep had scared off any who would have thought to attack her when she was at her weakest. Although even without him, she would have put up a formidable defense. No Black Widow left her den without traps to protect herself and many would have fallen into the tangled webs that she made use of during those days for protection.

But still this was not her home and she wasn't on her moontime. She viewed the group of males that had been sent by one of her rivals, an Opal Queen who thought that Trisana could be eliminated so easily. The group of males meant that she would have to tap into more power, but she'd be damned if she'd be taken down by males. Not after what she had lived through. She refused to be destroyed by any male. With a feral grin, she called in a Eyrien fighting stick and began attacking, tapping into her Birthright to shield and occasionally strike out when she needed to attack more then one enemy at once.

The fight drew on a crowd, most not realizing that the Queen fighting all the males was THE Queen. They just saw a female who may or may not have been Eyrien considering her skill with her fighting stick. Bets were quickly made as people began to call out and cheer for whoever they had placed gold on. What was a fight for power and life was turning into a regular neighborhood brawl.
