Title: What the Heck? As It Should've Happened
Description: Reviews and Suggestions

Here's the story.

If you have any ideas for what you want to see, let me know!

Here's the source material. Well, my MST of it anyway.

AraionaDuBois - August 8, 2008 12:37 AM (GMT)
I love it mate!! :)

Refia - August 8, 2008 08:09 AM (GMT)
Wonderful. Those two will get what they deserve, I trust. I love the "sue script" thing in their head and stuff. Really Mack, this is great. Better than my parody, anyway.

MackenzieW - August 8, 2008 10:27 PM (GMT)
Well, they're going to get dirty, injured, and will foolishly go on a quest they have no skills for. Everyone will shush them every time they start to sing, no one is going to fall at their feet. It should be painful for them as Sues who are supposed to be loved by all.

Well, since they are self-inserts they would know everything their creator wants them to do.

Thanks but your parody is great!

Queen of the Unknown - August 8, 2008 10:56 PM (GMT)
Haha, fantastic. I can't wait to see the reaction to the bursting into song a million times.

My only problem with it was that I also couldn't understand half of what everyone was saying. I only know the basic Sindarin.

MackenzieW - August 8, 2008 11:37 PM (GMT)
Oops, sorry. In fact, I have to thank www.realelvish.net for all my translations. Pretty much the lines in Sindarin boil down to "Who are you?" "My name is..." "Do you speak English?" and "I don't understand you."

Oh, yes, since they keep singing at inopportune times, everyone is going to get greatly annoyed.

I like the fact the characters don't look like the acters, is Legolas going to be brown or blonde?

Hastily written, soz.

MackenzieW - August 9, 2008 09:23 PM (GMT)
I've actually been debating that since I started writing this. I wanted to write that Legolas had brown-haired, but I couldn't remember if Tolkien ever stated his hair color. If anyone can help me, I'd appreciate it! If he hasn't, I'm flipping a coin.

AraionaDuBois - August 10, 2008 01:47 PM (GMT)
I'll go on a research mission!! It'll be fun! I think it's supposed to be brown... but I can't recall off hand.

Siany-T - August 10, 2008 06:03 PM (GMT)
Hmm I think it's one of those mysteries. It's something like he should be brown-haired because of the type of elf he is but some think he's blonde because they think he is a wood-elf which he isn't actually. Or something like that. Love the story, how the girls are all upset because no-one loves them and nothing is going how it 'should'. I like how no-one looks like the actors and how no-one understands them. Can't wait for them to be told to hush it when they start to sing. Can one time they start to sing at a point that isn't inoppurtune but they get told to shush because they're voice is bad?

Fishpaste - August 13, 2008 06:49 PM (GMT)
Tolkien never states Legolas' hair colour. His father was blond though. However certain sentances in the book indicate darker hair colour.

Guess what, HATI? You'll get your wish--I will be rewriting the Council of Elrond scene. I was looking over chapter 2 while writing my second chapter. Either she rewrote Chapter 2 or my computer stopped loading and I didn't realize it when I first copied and pasted the chapter in. But they are present at the Council. Which also means that the gang gets a break from "Unlike Everyone" to go back and MST the sections I missed/she added.

AraionaDuBois - September 6, 2008 01:19 AM (GMT)
Nice new chapter Mac! :) I do like this ending better then the other one. It does fit better. :)

MackenzieW - September 6, 2008 01:43 AM (GMT)
Thank you! And thanks for all your help! ;)

AraionaDuBois - September 6, 2008 01:48 AM (GMT)
S'why I'm here! :) ;)

MackenzieW - September 6, 2008 02:20 AM (GMT)
:D Anyway, I love your quote and picture. I'm gonna miss Owen and Tosh when Torchwood returns. That said, I was watching "Penelope" earlier today and Burn Gorman (Owen) was in it playing an American. Every time he spoke, I just kept thinking, "Go back to your natural accent, go back to your natural accent. Please..."

AraionaDuBois - September 6, 2008 02:24 AM (GMT)
Thanks! I was listening to the Torchwood soundtrack today and I said 'time for a switch up! Let's get some TW stuff on my account!' I originally had a different TW quote... forgot what one... but then I saw Tosh's little speech thing and liked that one better. I'm going to miss them too! I bawled my eyes out when they died. Oh Lord... Does he do an okay American accent? Or is it noticeable?

Queen of the Unknown - September 6, 2008 09:58 PM (GMT)
Great chapter again, MW! Love how Jess accidentally hugged Dinaiwen. :) And how Jess couldn't lift the sword.

MackenzieW - September 7, 2008 04:54 AM (GMT)
Well, Ari, the accent sounds like he's trying to do a rough, 1920's, American newspaper hard-ass editor accent and it's just awful. It's never really said where the movie takes place and other characters have a British accent, so he could've kept his and no one would've cared.

And Queen, that was actually Baimeldis she hugged. Dinenwen is the Sindar name given to Katelyn. How goes your MST of the sequel? If you need any help, don't hesitate to ask!

AraionaDuBois - September 7, 2008 12:36 PM (GMT)
hoh boy... I'll have to look that movie up then and see it for myself. ;) Could be a fun afternoon.

Gah. I suck with Elvish names.

Yay! CoE! They got told to go and wash up in front of their twu luves. That would be emmbarrasing * evil cackle*. Loved the new chapter, especially the kitchen work. Suits them down to the ground.

<><

Siany-T - September 7, 2008 09:15 PM (GMT)
Yay Sue's doing manual labour. Nothing warm the heart more, other than a Sue not being able to hold a sword, oh look Twit (sorry can't remember her Elven name) couldn't do that. Ahh I feel good. Well done Mac, the Sue's are getting hat they deserve.

MackenzieW - September 8, 2008 12:05 AM (GMT)
Ari: It's a cute movie. I enjoyed it, though Burn Gorman could've been used a bit more. Oh well, I got to stare at James McAvoy for a while. Always good. And I've loved Christina Ricci since Addams Family Values.

Queen: That's okay. It can be confusing.

HATI: Oh, I enjoyed writing the CoE scene, especially writing Elrond's responses.

Siany-T: Thanks, I enjoyed putting them in the kitchens. Imagine doing the dishes instead of eating off them--Sue torture!

AraionaDuBois - September 8, 2008 01:28 AM (GMT)
When I get a spare moment I'll look that movie up. :)

Siany-T - September 8, 2008 08:14 PM (GMT)
Sue torture, ahh brilliant.

AraionaDuBois - September 9, 2008 01:34 PM (GMT)
one of the only things that makes me grin. ;) Well, besides The Doctor... but lets not go there, okay?

Fishpaste - September 9, 2008 05:45 PM (GMT)

I don't know why the computer is refusing to acknowledge your update Mac but, it's brilliant! :)

Those two girls are in for such a shock on the quest. And poor Boromir, the Fellowship is going to be narked with him! I liked the interview with Elrond best, nice to see all the flaws in her backstory pointed out.

Hmm, that's odd. I wonder if that's why no one noticed I posted in the challenge either.

And yes, Jess and Kate are going to be very shocked on the quest. Especially since the Fellowship aren't going to be happy to see him. And I know I've put more on Boromir, but he was their best way in. He would be the most sympathetic to their (imagined) plight. And I loved writing Elrond's conversation with Jess.

Fishpaste - December 16, 2008 05:09 PM (GMT)
I didn't know you posted in challange until you mentioned it.

MackenzieW - December 16, 2008 09:49 PM (GMT)
Hmm, looks like the site didn't like me for a few days then...

Fishpaste - April 18, 2009 02:28 PM (GMT)
Genius chapter Mac, genius. Poor Boromir, he really doesn't know what he's let himself in for and the rest of the Fellowship is going to hate him. I can't wait to read of their first orc/goblin/wolf encounter, two weeks archery practise does not a warrior make.

Can you add some more of the canon characters thoughts in? I like the serving elf's thoughts, although it is worrying to hear a MS described as a friend...

MackenzieW - April 18, 2009 05:55 PM (GMT)
Thank you! :D I'm glad you liked the chapter. Oh, their first encounter is going to be an eye-opener, especially without their magical! powers! to save the day.

Yes, I'll be adding more of the canons thoughts in. I focused more on Baimeldis because she had more contact with them than the canons in Rivendell. Now that they've left, the others will be able to interact with them more. I am going to miss Baimeldis though. Well, the way I see the "friend" comment, she took care of the Stevens sisters and trained them, some sort of bond had to develop, right?

Queen of the Unknown - April 18, 2009 08:15 PM (GMT)
Yipes...going with the Fellowship. I almost feel sorry for the Sues, actually. It sort of stinks when you've been waiting a long time for something and it turns out not what you've expected. Especially if you've literally been living for it. :D

MackenzieW - April 18, 2009 09:06 PM (GMT)
Good one, Queen!

MackenzieW - April 19, 2009 12:45 AM (GMT)
Okay, I'm thinking of doing another parody ala America's Next Top Model entitled "Fanfiction's Next Top Sue". I will play the Tyra Banks role but I want you guys to be on the panel. So, who wants to be on it and what do you want your title to be?

Also, I figure the Sues will be the ones I've done (with Rosa Monroe being the previous Top Sue) since I know their backstories.

So: Enna, Laythia, Jessica, Katelyn, Amandine, Aurora, Samantha, Jessica Giry, Annika, Trac(e)y, Kate and Antiel (from Mother Guardian).

What type of challenges should they face?

AraionaDuBois - April 19, 2009 01:36 AM (GMT)
Hmm... I honestly don't know anything about America's next top model, so I've got no idea what to say for title and I would so love to be in it. :)

What do you mean by types of challenges?

MackenzieW - April 19, 2009 01:46 AM (GMT)
Well, here's how the Top Model panel is introduced:

"Noted (and sometimes Tyra inserts various adjectives for "drop dead sexy" here) fashion photographer, Nigel Barker. Runway coach diva extraordinare Ms. J Alexander and legendendary fashion model Paulina Porizakova." Then there's usually a guest judge, most often the girls' photographer.

As for challenges, these will be what the girls are judged on and to become Top Sue. Like, singing ability. Or who can pick up using a weapon the quickest, etc.

If you guys want to be a judge, please fill out the following questionnaire and PM it back to me:

Name you want me to use:
Physical description:
Personality you want (nice one, mean one, etc):
Title:
Challenge you would wish to introduce:

Thanks!

Fishpaste - April 19, 2009 10:48 AM (GMT)
Hey, that looks interesting. I think I did read a similar story once but it was never completed, and it didn't use real sues. I'll have to think of my challange, I have a vauge idea...
