How You Changed

I remember when you used to laugh
And run around care free.
When you used to joke and smile
And loved to hide from me.

But now you are so quiet,
Saying that you’re fine
But I’ll tell you I don’t buy it
When you’re balanced on that line
The one between reality
and the place that's called your dreams

I want you to know that I’m here for you
Through everything that happens.
I’ll always be by your side
To hold you when you cry

To listen to your troubles
And the nightmares that you have
About that awful, fateful day
During the summer of ’09.

You may be a soldier,
Hiding all your fears
But even soldiers are afraid
At some point through the years.

So don’t be afraid to call me
Even if it's during the night,
I’ll always want to talk to you
And help you through this fight.

I may not have lost someone
In those awful fires
That month not long ago.
But a little piece of me went missing
When you called me that horrid day
Crying they were gone
And never coming back.

Nowadays you're better,
But you can't forget those friends,
So I'm going to tell you now
I'll be with you, till the end

~I love you girl, you better know it! I'm your friend for life~
