Yesterday I got a little bored and decided to look up different keyboad styles from around the world. This led to me changing my keyboard from QWERTY to AZERTY. Which is awesome! so my question for everyone is this: what system are you using? Desktop? laptop? Mac? Windows? dial up? keyboard? biggrin.gif I've got a laptop and a desktop (hardly use the laptop, actually) and I'm working on a Windows Vista from Dell and I love it. biggrin.gif

I just couldn't resist peeking at a topic named "Technology". As you all (now) know, I LOVE TECHNOLOGY! biggrin.gif

Windows Vista laptop by HP.
QWERTY keyboard with International function which allows stuff like é, ï, ç, etc.
Side note: Wi-Fi is awesome! bounce1a.gif

What anti-virus are you guys using? I like ESET.

I've got an ASUS K60I J laptop with Windows 7. QWERTY keyboard, built in num pad, and wireless broadband internet.

As for anti-virus, I've got no idea. It's whatever came with the computer.

Personally, I prefer Vista, but my laptop came with Windows 7. It's free, I use it. *shrugs* I'm not sure it would be worth it to upgrade, but that's my opinion.

You stay with that oft-cursed version? My school computers had Vista and we swear we needed a class just to learn how to use them again. And God forbid you tried to open your project!

Anyway, I'm on a Dell laptop (Named Ole Blue even though he's relatively new) at home, operating Windows 7 and connected to the internets via Verizon FiOS.

At work, I'm connected using my Blackberry. biggrin.gif

Ugh, Vista is awful. I'm a computer nerd but using Vista was hard even for me. I think 7 is okay, but I'm so used to using XP that I don't know if I'd want to switch! I only got Broadband at the start of last year. We'd had dial-up since I was in Year Two but I found FFN a few years ago and couldn't stay off the internet. Which led to me bugging my parents to switch to ADSL and they finally did, and along with it we got completely new computers. Since I began high school I'd been introduced to the wonders of XP (which was new back then) and ADSL, and, seeing that I was the resident computer nerd, Mum and Dad did as I said. laugh.gif

(Dial up + two Windows 98 computers were what we had in the house, and an XP laptop but that was Mum's. Using 98 for years on end makes you really computer-savvy. wink.gif)

I've got internet on my phone as well but my plan doesn't let me download anything without paying a ton. Otherwise I'd be on the G&L thread during lectures. biggrin.gif

ooo nice! biggrin.gif Yeah, we had the free internet from K-Mart for a while... then switched to paid dial up... finally got DSL a few years ago. We had every operating system at one point or another cos of my Uncles work (when they upgraded, we got them) MS-DOS (anyone ever get to use that one?) 3.1, 4.0 95, 98, 2000, ME, XP, and now Vista. Though, I must admit, everything is great after MS-DOS. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif I loved the 98 we had... it was awesome.

Ooo, that would be tempting!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I liked the Windows XP on my old laptop... When the family computer upgraded to Vista, I was not happy. No, never used MS-DOS. We got our first computer when Windows 95 came out.

I have internet on my phone, too, but it won't let me see form fields. I can read G&L, but I can't comment. dry.gif
