I don't know if this trick was already found...anyway I found a thing that could be useful...if you rename a weapon with the name of one another,the result will be a weapon with some characteristics of both weapons...for example,I've obtained a faster magnum(my favourite weapon) taking the chris beretta(PL0BW13) and the normal magnum(PL00W05)...all do you have to do is to rename the file PL0BW13 to PL00W05,replace the old magnum with this new one and,as I said before,you'll obtain a magnum with the speed of the beretta smile.gif credits to whom found this before me smile.gif

In some cases that works and things work fine but in other cases it breaks the guns. Most guns still shoot or have a range of fire of the original gun, and say having a pistol instead of the shotgun model, can cause aiming issues and hit detection issues, if not animation issues.

But you could steal the selected animations out.

However I'm just a purist and a faster firing weapon to me just makes the game unbalanced.

Yes! That works! But as have been said, there are animations issues.

I have been working on shotting animations, and it is possible to replace only one weapons animation to another without changing the 3D model.

to Enrico:you are right but if you try to rename shotgun to handgun and no handgun to shotgun maybe you should have a handgun shoting shotgun rounds.Anyway not all the weapons couldn't have the same issue obviously smile.gif

As Enrico said, it totally depends on the weapons you're swapping the files for. A MOD once posted here that for example confronted you with one or two Birkin Mutation #4 (dog) in one room (Hunk very hard) became a piece of cake after making the enhanced shotgun a weapon which fires at the rate of a flamethrower. It only worked when you aimed up or down but nevertheless covered almost everything before, under and above you. So you will have to get the info for that with trial and error, if you think it's worth the effort. I've wanted to do that once for my MOD manual but quickly started to get bored, because -as said- it screws everything known as balanced gameplay.

Yeah I have testing this trick very time ago and it works but with crashes.
Example: If you rename the Gatling Gun with Beretta's name, you got the 'Half-Gatling' making Gatling movements but firing Handgun Bullets.
So funny but only to funny play.
