Since we can now make our own character models (major kudos points to Leo!) i've being tinkering around making custom models (i'll make this the WIP thread and release them in the RE2 mods thread when they are finished) I might take requests but as of now i'm doing some of my own.

Marvin:

Progression: 90-95% complete
Replaces: At the moment Claire's alternate costume but includes one that I think I can get working with standard Claire
Release Status: Pending just needs a few tweaks to the textures and head mesh, and I may add more costume types

Albert Wesker RE1 Version:

Progression: 99%
Replaces: Chris/Leon
Release Status: Released still have one minor issue with the weapon hand other than that the model is bug free.

SUNK:

i noticed he has on shoes but his pants are tucked into his boots. not sure if you noticed but your marvin and kendo look perfect so i thought i would point it out. also his vest is as thick as his forearms, maybe try moving his arms up a little.

In all honesty, Wesker's original model looks god-awfully low poly, especially when you compare it with its DS counterpart:

Now, if only Console Tool would allow these models to be exported (or even to properly zoom/move on the Z axis)...

Still it looks like crap compared to the RE2 models. The DS model suits the style a lot better and it doesn't look like it's coming from a Lego package.

It might look like crap for a million reasons mainly because they actually didn't uv map the thing properly, they used up way to much uv space for even the smallest things and as a result the whole thing wasn't even uv mapped/textured efficiently nor was it as detailed compared to something from re2 believe me just converting those uv maps from an re1 mesh to a re2 mesh was a bitch and a half.

Plus playing Re1 wesker in Re2 much better than playing with a texture just shoved on that looks like him.

I never said it was easy, but it defintively doesn't look good enough either way, that's why I was suggesting to use textures and meshes coming from the DS port. Wesker would look way better that way, in a manner comparable to what we got in RE2, which was visually superior to RE1 in every parameter. Mixing different styles=no good.

Ah I see what you mean I'll take it under consideration for version 2 (if I get that far)
