Title: Need TCM Category

Hey! How about adding a new main topic category titled TCM?

Since TCM is the only classic movie channel on cable TV, it would be nice if we could discuss TCM topics here. Often there is a need to get away from the TCM message board, especially when it's broken or filled with flame wars.

Also, there is a need to post lists of upcoming classic films that will be showing soon on TCM.

I'd post more often here if there was a TCM category. I think up at the top under "Welcome" and "Introductions" would be a good place for it.

Well there is a place to post upcoming TV : the GAOH Bulletin Board. Mark used to do a regular monthly TCM USA summary and anyone is welcome to do that.

On a specific forum I don't know. You have to remember many people don't have access to TCM USA : the UK version is not the same and much weaker.
If there is a demand for it I wouldn't say no but you can discuss TCM broadcasts in many places here as well as in the new Social Network.

Nice to meet you, Dobbs. :tip:

While the definition of a "classic movie" is subjective; I'll have to disagree that TCM is the "only" classic movie channel. Granted AMC has taken to showing more recent films recently; but they do show older films as well. Also, there is the Fox Movie Channel (which I think is great), MoviePlex, and several other premium channels that show classic films.

Such a topic(s) would be perfect for Retro Alley, so post away!
