I have been confused over the various different version of Fritz Lang's Metropolis which are floating around. I am one of the few that has the Pop Rock Version released in the 80s. I also have the Kino Video version which is around 96 minutes. Allegedly there is already a 120 minute version also on DVD but newly discovered print from German is supposedly uncut (thought one scene is too badly damaged to be repaired). I have heard of this print being everywhere from 153 minutes to 210 minutes!!!!!

Please, if any one can tell me more about the various versions and which ones are available and when the newest version will be available, etc. Please repond along with a brief review of the material, music, etc.

When issued in 2002, the restored version from Kino Video was considered the most complete. I seem to recall Kino saying that at some point they would release another version with the newly found footage. Your best bet would be to contact them at kinovideo.com.
