To you oldies, I realize that some of our 'core group' is gone. It's sad, and we hate to say goodbye to the members we know and love, but at the same time, don't forget to advertise!
1.
Our ADVERTISING CONTEST says that you will get a prize of your choice (a PLOT made by ELLE with any ADMIN CHARACTER OF YOUR CHOICE, a set of AVATARS MADE FOR YOU SPECIFICALLY, or a BANNER made by ELLE for a CHARACTER OF YOUR CHOICE).
Just have the people you recruit put "Recruited by INSERT NAME HERE" or "INSERT NAME HERE has brought me to RiH!"
If you advertise and haven't been doing this....(because no one has!) tell the people you've recruited to alter their applications/acceptances to put this.
(-->ALL recruitments count, even if they've been
denied.)

With all these new members that are joining
Please remember to be diverse with who you roleplay! (Yes, Newbies, this goes for you too!) We all have certain "Groups" of friends, be they established members on the site or people who joined with you. Don't just plot with your group of friends! Go out of your way to talk to new people, plot with new people!
or else.Cliques are bad. RiH is a special site (or has, historically) because we
are always plotting with everyone. Whether or not we know them well, we still talk and plot based on the character!
If you're having trouble with this, talk with
Elle (me!) I'm the plot!mistress here. I'm sure I can come up with something for you and your characters-and hook you up with the right people! If you have an open thread, feel free to whore it out in the cBox!
None of this "Well I don't know them so -scuffs feet awkwardly-" nonsense!

With all the shuffling going around of members, applications, school ending and vacations and what not,
please remember to be active! One or two posts a week, I beg of you!
And a reminder, if you're going to be gone, of course you can verbally tell the admin through PM or AIM. We appreciate it.
however, do not forget to make a thread in the absence board!
