I want something that will keep boost at stock levels with the following mods: apexi intake, effini y-pipe, hks downpipe, and racing beat cat back. However, I would like said control method to be usefull later down the line as I continue to upgrade to a stock mount intercooler, then eventually to a power fc and a single turbo. I heard the apexi avc-r is a great boost control for upping the boost, but will it be suitable for locking in stock boost levels and preventing spiking? What about external waste gate use? Where would I put that thing, anyway? Or, if I can get the cash, should I just get the Power FC (key word being if on this one)? Yes, I am paranoid. I don't want to rely on the "three mod rule" or anything like that. I want to be sure my boost levels stay stock. I want to avoid pulling everything out just to port the stock waste gates if at all possible. Any suggestions or past experiences will be much appreciated. I don't want to shell out cash on a control method that will just become a paper weight on my work bench later as I continue to upgrade.
