A little set-up: A couple weeks ago, an ex-coworker of mine came into my store. This was right after I bought my MKIII, so of course I was still excited and told him about it. He then went on to tell my that he just got a SuperCharger for his '94 Eclipse (GS, auto, convertable), and that we should get together and race sometime.
Well, tonight was the night.
He was randomly cruising by my work when I was getting off, so I followed him. We did a couple little pulls, ya know, nothin' major. At one point, his passenger looked over and asked: "is that thing a auto or manual?" To which I replied "manual". He looked over at Derrick (the driver), with a *smug* look on his face. If his expression could talk, it's be "alright, this thing has no chance.."
So, we finally pull up to a light. I didn't even think it was going to turn green that quick, so I got a shitety launch. Apparently that didn't matter. I cought up to him by the end of first. And by the end of second I had at least 1 car length on him. I went almost through fourth anyway.
So, I let them catch back up, and the passenger is clapping on their whole approach. He then says "**ck man, I know who to put my money on next time.."
Then, I just punched it and left them in the DUST....
