Title: TheDuffman.... oooooooh yea.
Description: Attempting to join the clan.

TheDuffman - September 13, 2011 11:07 AM (GMT)
I've been delaying this for a bit, Braver suggested, I made an account on the forums then just completely forgot.

Basically, I'm keen to join :D

The basics are that I'm 16, and I live in New Zealand, Christchurch ( Famous for the earthquakes) so our times compared to British and American players will be a bit out of wack. The name comes from the fact that my last name is Duffy, and one thing led to another to me being called Duffman by my friends.

I've played all Total war games, but shogun 2 is the first one that I've tried Multiplayer. I've shrunken a bit from going into 1v1s simply because of the loan swords, but I will always be keen to play with a friend, in fact today I was involved in a 3 v 3 with Braver, myself and another friend vs Timur, another RTK member I think who I apologize for not remembering the name of and another friend. Although me and Braver managed to beat our opposing players, our other friend lost badly and it ended up being a great close match. (And I had to deliver some beer to Timur xD)

and Braver, before you ask, your 2d waifu is Pleinair.

Anyways, even if I don't make the cut I'm always keen for a game (if the timings are right xD) add me on steam and I'd gladly play with you, my steam name is TheDuffman and hopefully I'll see you guys round soonish :)

hello mate welcome to the clan...

it is good to see that many are joining our ranks.

please notice that we might take a couple of days to review your application.

in the meantime try to get as many games as you can with RTK players.

Best luck with your application :mtwcheers:

TheDuffman - September 13, 2011 11:59 AM (GMT)
Of course, I don't expect to be told instantly, and cheers for the advice.

Elrich of Gaul - September 13, 2011 02:14 PM (GMT)
Hello Duffman,

What would your timezone be in comparison to GMT..?

We're in the EST so we're GMT -5 or something like that lol. There are a lot who are from the big island so they're right at zero.

Saladin of Damascus - September 13, 2011 05:37 PM (GMT)
Duff!

Great to see you applying to our ranks.

Mac of Duff?

TheDuffman - September 13, 2011 11:57 PM (GMT)
Our GMT is + 12, so its very different, at the time I'm posting this its 11:52 am.

Thanks for the endorsements Saladin and Braver, ah I kept thinking Big City something.

Haha, I'm always keen to deliver beer to your generals for a pre-battle boozing. However I'm only 16, and don't drink alcohol besides the light stuff on odd occasions.

Braver Pleinair - September 14, 2011 12:23 AM (GMT)
Mines wasnt an endorsement, you just said my waifu's lovely name. Which brings joy to my tender heart. Oh im blushing

TheDuffman - September 14, 2011 01:34 AM (GMT)

Isn't the legal drinking everywhere except the U.S., 16?!?!? Especially a former colony? I used to hate going to a pub in Germany. There'd always be kids piled around. Literally...

Welcome Duff, and enjoy your stay. Just keep an eye out for Merc and Abs..

Dagonet of Rus - September 14, 2011 01:18 PM (GMT)
18, pretty much everywhere in the world.

18, pretty much everywhere in the world.

So civilization is slightly moving forward..

Gah, I just googled germany and it's still 16 for beer and wine...

Abascantus of Aragon - September 14, 2011 06:13 PM (GMT)
well in portugal it's 18 for smoking and drinking as well as to vote and to drive.
But you can be at a caffe at 16years old :D

but you can be emancipated at the age of 16 and be legally allowed to do the other stuff above...

TheDuffman - September 15, 2011 02:50 AM (GMT)
Yea here in New Zealand the age is 18. But generally you start to learn to drink with your parents so you don't become an idiot about it. Whenever my mum offers me a drink of wine or something, I always say yeah why not, but then I screw my face up as It goes down...

Well, I meant it as you just weren't used to the taste, not dislike the taste.

TheDuffman - September 16, 2011 12:50 AM (GMT)
Ahh fair enough. And cheers Mercutio :)
