Greetings All.
I as the title informs wish to apply to join the ranks of the honourble ppl of RTK. I have read your rules and tenets which RTK has its foundations in and believe I would uphold these. A little about me: I am 25 and live in London (most of the time) in the UK. I have a fairly experienced background in RTW, and been in the following clans: VIVV>AOE>^X^>SOR>VIVV. I have been clanless since around April, mostly as i did not have time to commit and build relationships with the members as a new member needs to do i feel in order to join a clan and make a valuble addition. This was mostly due to my work commitments. My work involves traveling somewhat so tend to be away during the week on occasions, i have just finished a relatively busy project so feel i am in a position where i can commit more time to joining a new clan. I've played against and with some of your members though am mostly unknown to a majority of your members i believe. I would rate my clan contribution level at average, i tend to have periods where i can be very involved to periods of little involvement due to the unpredictability of my other commitments. I would rate my game play skill at about average and am very keen to learn and improve my skills. I have taken part in several TW tournaments, mostly the ones hosted on tournament Central, I have twice been in the final. I also took part in the first TC tournament for ETW, getting to the quater finals. I have not really gotten into ETW as much as i had hoped prior to release, mostly as work and rl has kept me fairly busy in the past months. I wish to join RTK because it has a long history within TW and is well established in the TW community. I have also considered apply for quite a while though felt my unfamiliarity with some of the clan members might be an issue, but dont believe there is another clan that i would rather join. Thank you for your time. Hamilcar This post has been edited by Hamilcar on Oct 13 2009, 09:22 PM |

Hi Hamilcar, and welcome to the forums.
I think you underate your presence in the Community,(as your name is certainly known within our walls), and far undervalue your game skills, judging by the tournaments you have performed well in. I doubt too many average players could have achieved what you have in TW Quick question, as I've often wondered when seeing your name in the lobby, what is the origin of your name? I wish you the best of luck in your application Sir. This post has been edited by Adelmo Of Otranto on Oct 14 2009, 07:24 PM -------------------- |

You have the right person.
My pre-RTK name was Grendel. Grendel got cut short to Grendy by an old clan mate of mine called Oust during the Genesis election campaign (2004/5). He felt it was more girly, especially with the sometimes used post-name Wendy. It stuck from then. I followed the tradition of the majority of RTK, by changing my in-game name when I was accepted into the ranks. We had a discussion awhile back about how some people become known by their RTK names, whilst others are more commonly addressed by their former name. I fall into the latter group. -------------------- |
