Guy in a hood kinda stands out in 1776. joker.gif

Pity that the gameplay video that was uploaded some time ago didn't promise any combat mechanics upgrade, it looked like enemies still suck. ninja.gif

I've been following the saga since the beggining, quite an awesome saga I have to admit, hopefully this game will be as good as the other ones!

Hopefully it's better than the last few, they've been....lackluster to say the least.

AC2 was the pinnacle of the series, hopefully it exceeds that.

XD That's because of the annual release model. Basically FOTS expansions for AC2 every year. Now that they've had their steady revenue in to fund AC3...here it is XD

Not necessarily. They could have milked that cash cow as long as they wanted.

However, now with their game-to-film adaptation branch...there comes in a whole new revenue that will supplement if not replace the annual release model.

Ubisoft 'hopes to reach Assassin's Creed 10'

Publisher's North American boss suggests there's no such thing as too many sequels

By Tom Ivan for CVG UK

Ubisoft has no issue with the practice of annualising its biggest franchises, with North America executive director Laurent Detoc reasoning that if the quality is high consumers will pay for a new series entry every year.

In an interview with Gamasutra, Detoc was asked if Ubisoft would like to make eighth, ninth and tenth instalments in the Assassin's Creed series one day. "I hope we will," the executive said. "I also hope we'll be able to branch out from within the franchise.

"It's very simple to me," he added. "There's no such thing as not being able to annualize a franchise. If it's good, people will come."

Meanwhile, Assassin's Creed 3 creative director Alex Hutchinson told Eurogamer that Ubisoft's decision to annualise AC essentially funded his upcoming game, and enabled his team to make ambitious strides for the franchise.

"We have multiple groups now working [on the series]," he said. "We started this one in January 2010, the same time as Brotherhood and before Revelations.

"The core team on this one has been working at it for almost three years, which is something you can almost never get in the industry these days - it's too expensive, too risky. So we need the other projects to support that kind of development - these big jumps.

"It's funny, people say it's about how often you release new entries, but I really think it's about how good they are. If they put out Breaking Bad every day I'd watch it every day. I wouldn't need other TV. So I think this usually comes up when people aren't satisfied with something we did."

I think the obvious difference with Assassins Creed and COD is that AC has a sick story line with lovable characters, and they develop on the game every year.

COD has been the same thing since MW2 with different skins. And it's generally just inferior to BF. It's popular because it's easy to play. AC is popular because of its story... and there isn't exactly an alternative.

O? I liked AC2 mostly because of its setting, not so much the story. Which is the same old, same old... get mystical thingy from bad guy, or else. Why should it make you a fanboi if the "storyline" that tells you that you have really been saving the world is split into 5+n different titles? biggrin.gif

So, apples are not oranges. A SP story is fun to play through, but you buy the FPS for the multiplayer. CoD sells new maps and guns with the new titles and DLC on the same engine more often than annually. BF3 is doing the same, so did BF2.

lol.

Yah... BF decided to copy the biggest assholes of all and release really expensive DLC content. But BF3 is still a far superior game to COD, but you already know that.

All that matter is that the skill gap for Cod is this big:

Noob<->Pro

For BF it is:

Clearly you need to rely on others in BF more, the opposite of that is certainly one of the attractions of CoD. The BF3 pro needs to rely on the noob with the RPG and the noob in the team tank. gc-smash.gif

Killstreaks are a lot of fun and one of the teamplay relevant elements of CoD. I think the only killstreak I disliked was the dog one from CoD5. The concept that you need to earn your vehicles rather than steal them from a spawnpoint is fine with me, although I do prefer the Crysis way, where your teamwork points mattered rather than kills.

So, do you play AC online? biggrin.gif

It's a ridiculous and arcade-y system. It's pick up and play, which is why when my friends come chill at mine they want to play CoD or Fifa as opposed to BF3. THey're like zomg look at my 1.2 k/d ratio I so sick. Same for you I guess, you like the easier game eh Dinny boy. Being 'good' at CoD online isn't hard on PC nor PS3. It's all about spawn trapping on most of the modes anyway, such a bore. BF3 requires the x-factor. And I know deep down you love it more Din... lol
tongue.gif

And hell naw, I don't play it online, never tried. Iz it gud brah?

AC > CoD

BF3 > CoD

CoD is just the same game remade e'rry year. It's got nothin' about it. It's for boys.

You can't troll me very well with it Yoshipoos... I do like CoD, and simplicity is a pro. biggrin.gif

Those CoDs that I've played have all been fun games, and since nobody here seems to play proper BF3 anyways (except for Chazz), I may as well have bought the last CoD. wink.gif

Apropos trollololo: victory/defeat in BF3 still "requires" nothing more than a noob/troll/spawnstealer in the APC, tank, heli or jet --- oooh wait did someone say "X-factor"?

Dunno if AC's good online, never tried either, arrr matey! tongue.gif
