My main idea is the story starting off with a group of girls playing with a Ouija board. During the game, one of them leaves before saying goodbye, too freaked out to sit it out any longer.
Now, obviously nothing would happen in our lives, as it is a game. But in the story, because she left without ending it, the spirt is still alive and flowing through all of the girls. It, or rather Vernon Powwis, starts to take over each of them.
I can't if decide they should start to die or if it should be more of a going insane, hurting others sort of possession.
My major questions are about killing them off one by one and if it seems too--weird to really work as a story. And if you would actually ever be interested in a story like this.
Actually, there was something you had to say to banish the spirit at the end of that game. If you don't, then he/she'll stay in our world. Or you can break the board and banish him/her anyway... I just love that game! :cad:
Yes, I'd be interested, but only if it's not something really lame like Urban legends style or just pointless murders or something. I guess you could kill them, and leave the girl that left early to be the last. You'll also need someone to solve the mystery, as in any other story of the sort. Of course, you can invent a twist -- like, for example, if the spirit is a smart one, and doesn't only possess the girls, but other people as well, and have him pursue some objective... I don't know what spirits want, but maybe one thing can be a body that they can possess infinitely. See, I think they cannot possess it all the way, just temporarily. And so, he'll kill them when they're of no use to him/her.
Well, that's just off the top of my head. :cad: Tell me what you think.
