i was thinking of something. how does it feel to move from place to place?
i know you feeel alone, sometimes unwanted, and usually people see you as an outcast. sometimes you even get used to it. how would you feel?

If I had to move somewhere far away right now, I would be devastated. I'm prepared to leave here someday, but I would need to prepare...leave on my own time. I'm still learning how to make friends, a task that's not very easy for me, and if I had to leave the relationships I've shaped here, I would truly not be the same.

Now if I had moved around constantly for almost all of my life, I'm sure I would get used to having to leave and trying to stay in touch, however hard that may be.

edited for a dumb question. sorry!

It depends on your frame of mind. Not everyone is 'emo' or feels on the outer. I was in and out of home from 16 - 22. I always did my own thing and never cared what others thought. I made the world fit around me, not me fitting into the world. I had moments of uncertainty, but that's all they were.

If you accept the fact you have to 'deal' with the world, you find your feet and get on with it. Its not always happy or good, but if you deal with situations as they come, you find yourself on a neutral footing. Things go up and down from there, but if you know what it is you want or after, you mostly just roll with the punches.

It depends on the context. If you move around before you are absolutely ready or willing, it can be very... depressing, but then again, it depends on you too.

I agree with Elena. And once you feel independent, it feels absolutely fulfilling to move around and explore your options. To me, I love it! It pretty much follows a similar pattern: At first you don't know anyone and try to fit in, with me it's always a bit delayed because I'm not too sociable at first, but once you find friends, it's a rush! Of course you miss your old friends but you wouldn't really go back to where you were just because of that. In my experience, every move is a challenge and teaches you new things. New cultures. New people. New experiences. It's awesome.

Now, my teenage years were pretty much the definition of emo. If I had had to do this moving around thing I do now back when I was a depressed teen, I would have hated it! It's all about timing! And personality. So... I guess in general it feels thrilling as long as you enjoy it but once in a while you feel this lack... you miss your parents, your friends, your cat, so it's timne for a visit. But the more fun you have at the new place, the less you feel alone and nostalgic. :)
