I'LL BE YOUR SAFE RIDE HOME WHEN YOU CALL ME , rules are made for a reason. --------------------- registering.- when you join, please register with your character's first, middle, and last name, all in lowercase. if you don't do this correctly the first time, just pm an admin and they'll fix it for you. this is invisionfree, not proboards (on pb you can change your name yourself). also, please don't register as lOvE_HurTS or anything like that. it's not a messageboard. - if you're registering as an original character, please check the list of canons before joining and make sure the name you had in mind or the celebrity face you wanted isn't taken; also check the face claim as well. if you are registering as a canon character, please check the canon list before joining. this makes things less complicated for us. - you are allowed to reply to the canon list thread as a guest, but only to reserve a character. character reservations are held for three days after the day of reserving. if you come back after four days to register with the character you reserved but he or she is taken, it's not our fault, it's yours. some exceptions may be made if such things such as vacation departures are happening the next day, but they will rarely be made. - please be original when you pick a name for your character. common names like jessica wilson and michael smith become redundant, and no one likes to see five of one name on the same site. be exotic with your names - use things like leonardo, sebastian, and annaliese...not matt, james, or polly. also, you may not have the same last name as another character unless they're related; you may not have the same first name as another character by any means. - the pre-decided face claims and their preset last names CAN NOT be changed under any circumstances. you can argue with us all you want but they will not change. this is because some of the celebrities are couples in real life and it makes for good pictures to be contributed towards the use of signatures and avatars for our characters. - no mary sues/gary hughs. a mary sue or gary hugh is a character that is perfect and flawless - like the sweet boynextdoor who is always nice and happy and friendly and never shows his angry side. every normal human has their flaws, weaknesses, and downsides. please try not to be contradictory to yourself, either - if your character is a standoffish person, we don't expect to see him getting his groove on at a wild dance party.acceptance/posting.- when you post your application, do not change any aspects of it, add anything in, or remove anything. it's not yours and you don't have the right to change it. take your time with it and make it nice - and remember, if your rp sample is bad, we won't accept you. we're a site for advanced writers only and even if you have punctuation mistakes, you're out. before you are accepted, you aren't allowed to post anywhere (except for your app). if you are accepted, congrats and you are free to post wherever you want! - all posts should be written in third person omniscent from your character only; this means NO GODMODING. godmoding is when you roleplay someone else's actions. if you punch johnny in the throat, wait for him to RESPOND before you decide he suddenly dies on impact! godmoding is rude & disrespectful to other rpers. - all posts should be at least three decent sized paragraphs. they should be well-written with good punctuation, spelling, and grammar, and should have enough content for the other members to reply on. we know you make spelling mistakes, and as long as it's not every other word, we're okay. and we understand that you have your off days, and that's fine, but if we see two-liner posts around here, you're gone. this site is for ADVANCED PLAYERS ONLY. - while roleplaying, please bold, italicize, underline, or put your words in a different color to show your character's spoken words. thoughts are different but it's a general rule of thumb if you put them in italics. the reason we ask of this is because it draws more attention to what your character is saying. - if you are going to speak out of character in a roleplay thread, whether it's to discuss the actions being roleplayed or just to throw hints at the other member, please indicate that it's ooc by using brackets, parentheses, or some other sort of effect that shows it's not part of your post. - if you want a certain person to roleplay with you in a topic you've just created, put their name in the topic description, such as bree or james. if it's a free for all, put open, and if it's absolutely private, mark it as closed. - cursing, smoking, drugs, sex, alcohol, pregnancy, marriage, and death are all allowed on the site. however, if you're going to get your character pregnant or have her die, please let everyone, or at least an admin, know beforehand so we're not all completely shocked. if you're planning on rping graphic sex details, flag the first post in the thread in order to warn other members. be courteous; others may not want to read that stuff. - DO NOT USE TEXTING/INTERNET SLANG IN ROLEPLAY POSTS. no ttyl, lol, lmao, lmfao, brb, bbl, kk, etc. in posts, unless it's for an online photo album or text message or something like that. it is absolutely not allowed and not apart of good writing. make sure you prohibit yourself from doing so.other.- signature/avatar graphics are a must. they have to look good. it looks good to have two 200x300 matching pictures of your character, your character's name in a big font, and lyrics to a song describing your character. it doesn't matter how you do it, but it's a way to express your creativity and your coding as well. - please keep character ratios reasonable. we don't need twenty girls to every guy. it's nice to have diversity, too - whether it's race, beliefs, sexual orientation, etcetera. if we ever need guys to join, a notification will be put up at the top of the site saying we need a certain stereotype to join, or something like that. - activity is a MUST on six feet. if you join, we expect you to be an active roleplaying member of six feet under the stars. if you need to leave for a few days, please announce so in the goodbyes board. jamie says, im not gunna waste these words. if you decide to leave forever, don't just ditch us, let us know you're going! if you are inactive when activity checks roll around, your account will be deleted. - if you are only about twelve or thirteen, please don't join. if you're that young, you obviously haven't had enough rp experience and you probably aren't a very good writer anyway. we don't mean to come down on you and burst your bubble, but this site is for advance players only. if you read some of the posts here and feel intimidated, take that as your warning to leave.HAVE FUN & THANKS FOR READING THE RULES!
