First let me welcome you to Supernatural Nightmare. There are just a few basic rules you need to be aware of. I'm sure for most of you this is not your first experience with a message board but each board has different rules. Please make sure you read the rules to ensure that the board runs smoothly.

Please make sure that when you register, you register with your character's name. For example: I am Dean Winchester so I registered that name. Please don't register with names like sally1500, if you do so, please contact admin and we will be more than happy to fix it for you.

All registrations must be admin validated and this will not be done until Sam and I each receive and approve character applications.

Winchester siblings will not be accepted.

Absoloutly no siblings. As far as we are concerned, if Kripke wanted Sam and Dean to have siblings, he would have created them. (And no, we are not including Adam, that was a mistake that even Kripke took care of quickly.)

Forum Rules:

1. R-E-S-P-E-C-T:
This rule is most important. Please treat others with respect, especially mods and admins. Please understand that when a member of the staff asks you to please do something that is in accordance with the board rules that they are just trying to ensure that the site runs smoothly. They all work hard for you so please give them the respect they deserve.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask, especially if there is something you don't quite understand. We are here to help so don't be shy if you're unsure.


2.Rating, Adult Themes and Profanity:
The general rating for this site is PG-13/NC-17. If you want to get into more adult themed stories and RPG's we have a section specific for those that require that a password be attained from an admin. Please nobody under the age of 18 should ask for the password to those forums. Profanity is allowed as long as it's not in excess outside of RPG's. Please keep profanity to a minimum in the out of character discussions.


3. Proper Grammar:
Please refrain from Internet speak. Please do not post sentences that read: How r u 2day, so on and so forth. Please use proper English skills, by that I mean what you are taught in school and I'm pretty sure that How R U 2day? is not taught in English class.

4. Everyone must put in an application for their character for approval before posting! (PLEASE USE THE OUTLINE ALREADY SET. DO NOT randomly make up your own.)

5. All Characters must be different!
There can be no more than one of a character. For example, there can't be two Sam Winchesters. Also, every characters stories must be different. Please check approved bios before you fill out a character application. We understand that some may have similarities but please make sure they are not exact.

Also, please no copying Actor/Actresses. There are enough Actors and Actresses that noone should have to copy someone else.

6. All canon characters must be auditioned for!
Because we at Supernatural Nightmare want everyone to enjoy themselves and be decent RPGers, we ask that anyone who would like to take on the role of a canon character (one from the show) audition for the role.
This is to make sure that the character is being played like the character, not like your personal version of the character. "We didn't find any boy"..."Then he's still out there..." We'd like to ensure that canon characters are as close to the way they are on the show as possible. So if you want a canon character then you must fill out the application for it.

7. There will be no love interests unless BOTH characters agree on it. For example: you cannot just decide one day that your character and myself are going to have a fling. No, it doesn't work that way. It has to be agreed upon and worked out between both parties. I will not tolerate any crazy fangirl antics. Sam and I do not want to have to fight them off in every single post directed at us. If you can't keep it unfangirl like, then you won't post. Plain and simple.
Also, Sam and I have killed off characters in the past for being way too fangirly. I mean if Sam is dying don't just stare at his crotch and if I'm bleeding, don't pull my ass back into shark infested waters just to make you happy. Common sense is a MUST!

8. Please, out of respect for other RPGers and their characters, please ask through pm before you move a character that is not yours. You don't know what the other person may want to do, so please don't just assume what they want and post it, ask first.

9. RPG Posts!
Now this one is a real biggy for myself and a few other people here.
Please DO NOT post one liners as responses. This is a multi paragraph RPG site. We ask that you post a minimum of three paragraphs per RPG post. There is so much more going on in our head than just:
Dean said "Hi." to the girl standing at the door.
No! There are many thoughts and emotions that accompany all our actions, Please post them! Also try to be as descriptive as you possibly can.
Don't just say: Dean looked out the window.
No! Say something like this:
Dean lifted his hand to the old, dusty fabric of the curtain in the latest cheap motel they were in. He slowly pushed it back and looked out into the darkened parking lot lit only by the light of the slim crescent moon.
Now that's better, don't you think? -grins-

10. No soliciting or spamming! Please do not simply post in a thread to increase the number of messages it has or to bump a topic.

11.If you would like to advertise a site, please do so in the links section of the board.

12. Banners and Av's.
Banners are to be no bigger than 600x200
Av's are to be no bigger than 100x100
Please no more than one banner in your signature and no moving ones. Also no moving av's are allowed. These tend to slow down people with slower computer connections and it can be quite annoying. Anyone found to not be in compliance with this rule will be asked to change their art. If it is not done, an admin will remove it for you.
This goes back to rule number one, RESPECT. Please respect those with slower connections so everyone can enjoy their time here.


The staff of Supernatural Nightmare want you to enjoy your time here and these rules have been made to hopefully maximize your experience. I will not hesitate to warn or ban anyone who does not comply with the rules that have been set here. I don't want to be mean so please don't force me to be.
