I believe I only need to add input onto the screens. I shall attack that tomorrow. It's getting a little late after all.

I havn't added menu input for battles yet, but I have edited some behind the scenes stuff. I still plan on adding menu input for battles soon.

Adding on-screen input for battles is taking longer than I expected. I have it half done, so it should be good soon. Meaning the foundation for the game is almost complete. I believe all I need after this is the saving and character creation. It's getting late again, so I will try to finish it up tomorrow before work. (Just the battle displays.)
After I do the battles up, I will try to find people to come check out what I have to test it with real players rather than just 3 NPC's I made. Which means I should add a little chat option into it as well. |

Not only did I make it so that the battles are now on screen input, I also coded it so there are surprise rounds. Each side gets a 3% chance to have a surprise round.

Just working on fairly small things. Such as adding Party stuff to the Tactics menu. I have everything except for re-order in. It is being a big bitch, so it might take a few more hours. I had a lot done, but then I accidentally erased it... Oops. I will probably work on it tonight again. After this, I need to work on my door system, and my search system. From there, I just need to add some test spells, and test items and then flesh out a few things here and there and I should be good to start on the actual storyline... Finally.

Well, all party menu stuff is in, including re-ordering the party. Next I will work on my door system. I am still deciding if I want to make them turfs, mobs, or objects. I don't think that turfs work as good for what I did last time, so they probably won't work this time either, but I will figure something out tomorrow as I have the day off. If all goes well, I should be able to start the story stuff tomorrow a bit as well. Or at least get some maps done, as I think I only have some parts of two towns done.

Well my internet is down so I wont be updating much. but i have been working on EQ lots. i am almost ready for the initial teaser release to wet everyones lips. unlike DWO i wont stop production though. i just need to do up a few more towns and caves and get spells in. it should hopefully be up (along with my internet ) within a month.

It would appear that my internet is working again. At least for the time being anyways. So, while it is working, I am going to write out my list of things to do, and some of the things I have done since my last post. This will all be finished for the first release, just so you all know.
COMMAND MENU FINISHES Equip System. (DONE) Items on screen. (DONE) Bag. (DONE) Change Battle Speed option in Tactics Menu. (DONE.) BATTLE TOUCH-UPS Change Battle Options for each class. (Waiting for spells) Items, and Spells in battle. (Waiting for spells) Class letters in the Battle Stats section. (Waiting for Classes) Auto-organize monsters so they are 4 pixels apart to potentially allow for more enemies in battle. (DONE) Item drops from monsters.(DONE.) Potentially re-code the battles again to allow for easier implementation of status affects and such. Possibly just add checks in the Turns() proc to see if you are able to do anything, and if not change your action variable to whatever reason it is that you can't act for. (Probably just add to Turns) Drop Battle Menus on the bottom by 1 y, and raise the top by 1 y. (DONE) MAPS (Work on these when sick of coding) Get a good World Map made!! At least what I have planned for the story thus far. (Work in progress) Build the innards of the first castle. (Not Started) Make the "extras" of the second town. (Not Started) Make another Town map (Third town.) (Not Started) Cave 1. (Not Started) "Shrine" leading to second continent. (Not Started) Cave 2. (Not Started) Cave 3. (Not Started) Make 4th Town maps. (Not Started) Make 2nd Castle maps. (Not Started) Make 1st Tower maps. (Not Started) Make the farmers house. (Not Started) SPELLS Get a system in that will be good for the entire game. (Not Started) After spells are in, update the status menus to display them. (Not Started) NPC's Fill all planned towns with them. (Not Started aside from Shops and inns.) "Eatery." DW3ish Party building place. Max level is player's level-1. Level 1 is max level of 1. They do NOT gain levels with the players however. If they want stronger NPC's they have to find a new place to change party members at. Should also allow for class choosing based on what classes the player has unlocked. (DONE. Just need to actually balance classes and then add their spells. Also need to add better equipment for higher level NPCs.) Bank for the second castle. 1000 Gold increments only. (Will do after Second town is finished.) CLASSES Need to make them. (Not Started) Seperate XP to level (Not Started) Seperate stat gains per level (Not Started) Abilities. (Goes with Spells needing to be done mostly.) (Not Started) Fighter class gains an unarmed attack at 11, 23, 36, 50, 65, 81, and 98 (Not Started) - Loses them when equipped with a "non-fighter" weapon. (Not Started) - Retains with claw weapons and the like. (Not Started) - Take off 10% damage per attack. ie. Damage is 80 per attack, with 3 attacks would equal 56 per attack totalling 168 damage instead of 240. (Not Started) LOGIN/MISC Need to make up some form of title screen. Preferably something new. (Need to find someone. Maybe do a contest for a free membership or something.) On screen Character Creation: (DONE.) Name Select. (Possibly allow for key-stroke entry with Macros.)(DONE, no macros yet.) Gender Select. (DONE.) Class Select will either be here or in the intro sequences.(DONE.) Battle Speed. (DONE.) Save/Load system for characters. (Not Started) Save/Load system for Client side stuff. Such as which classes are unlocked. (Not Started) (Last Updated April 16, 2009) |

I havnt worked on EQ too much lately but I have done some work. However I came on to say that I am moving within a week and will haveinternet once more meaning I will be online a lot more.As in just about every day... YAY

I have internet again... YAY. However, as soon as I connected the net, some dormant virus attacked (I assume) and therefore I need to get my computer fixed... BOO
