This is for those of you that are experiencing or have experienced the known corrupted inventory/HUD textures issue when using the CS Redux mod. Turns out that it was an error that I'd made when saving each file - I'd chosen to "generate Mip Maps" with either DXT3 or DXT5 but the correct method is to save the CS texture files using "No Mip Maps" and DXT5.

Please let me know if these fixed files do not address the problem.

Just posting what Hunter posted in another thread

Hi there,
Let me say first that I'm new to this board, I'm German (so that automatically excuses any drastic linguistic mistakes wink.gif ) and I've gotten into CS Redux the last few days. My opinion is that it simply rocks and basically does for Clear Sky what AMK Mod & co. do for ShoC. Props for the excellent work.
I tried Victim's Inventory Fix (since my inventory was corrupted after installing 0.97b), and after that my inventory displays just fine, but another little bug popped up - I'm getting this whenever I'm holding bolts, binoculars or grenades:

While equipped with knife, pistol or primary weapon, it's all fine (just a small white dot, the miserable remains of a crosshair tongue.gif ).

Anyway, since I'm mostly running around with my assault rifle in my hands, this hardly bothers me at all. Just meant to notify you that something might be worth tweaking in your Inventory Fix (I am positive that the black square didn't show until I installed the fix; before that, it was just the little white dot).

Merry Christmas for any that celebrate it

Zenoth from the GSC redux thread

Ok I temporarily "fixed" it (the box cursor issue), I simply re-installed Redux to a separate folder, and I took all of the files with "cursor" in their names within the 'ui' folder (which is inside the textures folder), and I replaced those same files from the fix with the ones from Redux 0.97. I kept all other files without "cursor" in their name there from the fix I downloaded, and it works.

so if some one who was/is experiencing this issue be able to test this method but try to find the actual offending file (only about 5 files to test) though trial by error (aka 1 at a time) would be greatly appreciated, and if any takers could kindly send a PM about the results would be great

hope this helps
