I cannot remember whether or not this is normal for clear sky, or redux for that matter. So, if it's not a bug, then shame on me.

I seem to be always losing life. Even after I have stopped bleeding, am fully healed, ate some food, and taken anti-rads, I constantly lose life. If I sleep for more than 3 hours at full health, I die.

Which Redux version are you using? Adjustments in the sleep files eliminated the possibility of dying while sleeping and available sleeping periods were dependent on your health level - I think full health allowed 10hrs sleep or something close to that - and no death as a result. Are you mixing mods and/or have you tweaked things yourself?

Seems to me like it's a hunger issue. Keep plenty of food in your pack and read the information written about each item - you'll soon figure out how much you need to eat during an in-game day. Otherwise you might like to black-flag this mod until a more complete version is released. No idea when that will be though.

I was using the latest redux. Though, I think I fixed it. I just went tinkering around with some of the properties of the actor's config.

"Health_restore_v" under "--when actor in sleep" was set to a negative number. I'm not sure why it was draining my health while I was not sleeping, but setting that to zero fixed the problem.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

First I've heard of it - looks ok but I hope that the slow-mo Burer shootout was only used to highlight detail and that STALKER hasn't fallen to the bullet-time trick. GSC took a step backwards with Clear Sky so anything could happen with their 3rd game. I liked seeing the Rookie checking out the anomaly and I think it'd be really great to see a more authentic AI. GSC nailed atmosphere and graphics with the 1st game so I hope that the big kahuna in their office has been regularly lashing the game mechanics, story and AI programmers on this one.

"Health_restore_v" under "--when actor in sleep"

If you're talking about the values under the 'sleep' heading in 'actor' I've never seen any proof that they function at all. Because sleep wasn't added in the way that GSC once intended it to be, I always found that those settings were redundant, despite trying hard to make them work. You managed to fix it up though so kudos for having a crack at the problem yourself. wink.gif

regarding the slow mo bit i am pretty dam certain that was just a trailer thing to freak ya out type of thing

but check out on the gsc site if you ever want to, they have a full CoP section, that BAC 9L (i think it was his username) has played it and gave bit of a write up, plus some other info here and there, worth a check in once every now and then

1) Is the sleeping mod supposed to restore health when you sleep?

2) Does redux have any kind of hunger indicator or do you have to guess how hungry you are?

I think I am suffering from something similar to the bug the OP described. For some reason when I sleep I lose health, even after eating and bandaging. The amount of health, I think, is determined how hungry my character is. If I eat before I go to sleep for one hour I will lose just a little bit of health. But if I don't eat before I go to sleep I will lose a greater amount than if I hadn't eaten.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it but when I go to "eat" food the eat option is replaced with "drink" and the same goes for medic kits and bandages. So apparently my character drinks medic kits to heal which I find pretty funny.

1) No.

2) There is no HUD icon for hunger in your version - the only reliable indicator you have is to learn the food descriptions and to be mindful of the time. If at any point you consume 100% worth of food, you'll not need to eat again for 8 hours - though small meals often is advisable if you want to retain a high level of hp.

The modifications to medkits etc. made it necessary to convert them to 'drink' item types. I'm not much of a right-clicker so I didn't notice that one for quite some time. The words can be changed in the .xml files but be wary that any change to the word 'drink' is also applied to actual drinks too.
