Did He Do It?, Discuss whether or not he killed Irina

Well after last night, I was a bit shell-shocked, but then I remembered nothing is as it seems...at least on Alias.

I am ambivalent about this fact, simply because there was too little facts given other than he did it, or said he did. Why would Irina put a contract out on her own daughter?
The last time she saw her before dropping off the roof of that 47 story building in Mexico City was, "Good luck. I love you."

What changed? Sydney certainly didn't have anything personally to do with it and the contact between Jack and Irina was strictly about Sydney and she even helped get her out of Korea. So when did things go wrong?
How could Jack believe this without proof? Was Irina set up by her sister Katya?
I'm inclined to wait the season out.

I wonder if Lena is relieved. She won't be bugged to come back.

Honestly, I do not believe it! I'm still convinced that Jack and Irina have been working together since Panama.

I am sure, Irina was either not killed and Jack faked her death or she was killed by somebody else, whom Jack is protecting now (Vaughn?) OR Jack killed her in the false belief that she had betrayed him again.
The most likely is No.1 to me, though. I mean, seriously, her body is in a medical facility??? How long has it been there? Four weeks? That is SO unlike Jack! I mean, he didn't deliever Haladki to a medical facility, did he? He just got rid of his body - and remember what he told Vaughn about killing Lauren and then dissolve her body.
I mean, this whole 'I'll send her body to that facility' manner just looks more like a 'See, she's dead, will you let it go now?'-thing to me. Maybe I'm too much Jack/Irina shipper to believe that Jack actually killed her (because, yes, I have to admit it, it'd break my shipper-heart and I might actually end up crying ), but you have to admit, it is a possibilty.

Although Irina's intentions have never been quite clear, I got the impression that she loves Sydney and would do everything to protect her! I mean, she had dozens of possibilities to kill Sydney by just not helping her - several in season 2 and then the big one in season 3. And then suddenly she wants to put a hit on Sydney??? Oh, come on! I don't buy it!

No, actually I think, JJ has effectively put Irina on ice - a method which leaves everything open. If Lena finally decides to return, Irina will reappear from her hiding and if Lena doesn't want to return, she'll remain 'dead'.
If that is the plan, it's a genius one. ut if, on the other hand, JJ really killed Irina, then the show died for me.

I still believe that Irina truly loved Jack and he loved her!
