Here's the plan for our first storyline thread (as written by Twyce):
It’s the first day of a new school year at both Matthias and Drandiga. Our story begins as the new students at Matthias are herded into to the central hall for the Headmasters beginning of term speech. Its looking to be an auspicious year with a higher student intake then ever before and with increasingly promising academic performance forecast based on increasing grade averages from previous years. The school is, however experiencing some financial difficulty following the death of a wealthy patron but despite this the Headmaster is determined to keep the school running no matter what. Meanwhile, as the Headmaster welcomes his charges both new and old something menacing moves towards Matthias, a force unseen descends upon the school, its intent malicious and its will unnerving.
Less than half a day after opening its gates Matthias finds itself assailed by a handful of massively destructive beings. The staff and senior post-graduate students rush to the defense of their school but find themselves lacking and are thusly overpowered by their attackers. Despite the ultimate sacrifice of a number of teachers the school is destroyed and the grounds made uninhabitable. The students escape by the skin of their teeth and are guided through the perilous woods that surround their former school to Drandiga.
The surviving defenders of Matthias eventually arrive in the wake of their students, bloody and broken with no good news to tell. The Headmaster, still determined to allow Matthias to continue academically at the very least, turns to the Headmistress of Drandiga. The pair concur that for the duration of this crisis or until the reconstruction of Matthias the students and staff of Matthias will remain at Drandiga.
Now even though Drandiga is large there will still be some capacity problems for everyone on account of Matthias occupying the campus. What we want during this whole ordeal is mainly to have interesting interactions between the students and staff of both schools. If your character is a Drandiga student/staffer, how do they feel about the school being so crowded all of a sudden? Do they mind at all, or do they want to scream about it in frustration? If your character is a Matthias student/staffer, what is
their take on this whole mess? We're hoping to get some hilarious and engaging roleplay out of these circumstances so don't hold back!
Also as a side-note there will be intervals between every storyline thread in which you can participate in random threads that have little to do with the main plot. Look at it as a way to develop your character through other experiences outside of the main plot.
