Strettons - February 2, 2012 02:07 PM (GMT)
Stretton will probably finish the season 7th/8th, which would be pretty good. :)

I predicted Newport would win the league just before the season started and I'm sticking to that.

Finished the season on 41 points

Looking at what we have left, Newport only need 1 more win to turn it into a two horse race between themselves and Ketley. Morda and Ludlow still have a mathematical chance of winning the league as they can reach 50 points if they win all of their games.

The more and more you look at it, Ketley Bank v Newport on 24/3 is the big one!

Basically I think its safe to assume this Ketley Bank v Newport game is a title decider, sun will be shining shame it aint ground hop weekend would have got good crowds in. Im going up for a watch, anyone else ??

Be very suprised if Newport do not beat Ketley but if Ketley win its in their hands although even in saying that Newport do have to play Impact and that could prove pivitol for the GD if they do indeed lose tomorrow....

Newport came out on top 3-0, scored two sloppy goals, header from a corner and some slack defending allowed them to get 2 goals before HT.

2nd half KB started better, missed a crucial pen before Newport broke on counter near the end and killed the game. Got to say JJ before you think this is a personal dig fella I like you but thought you didnt have the best of days, dont think it effected the result but decision to send mozza off was a joke, two lads pushing heads into each other I class as handbags, there was no attempt to headbutt from either lad so a straight red for attempted headbutt is nonsense. Not sure what you saw that others didnt but there were 70-80 people watching and every person I spoke to said it was handbags nothing more, yellow for each and sort your heads out would have done the trick.
Newport pretty solid, experience told as they spoke far more than KB and the fact scorers for them were all 30+ showed that them boys make difference in these kind of games. Still think they'll finish 1 and 2 in league.
