IRONWORKS 1 DUDLESTON HEATH 7 Dudleston Heath stay in second spot after coming from behind to beat Ironworks 7-1. Guy Guilford the leagues’ leading scorer scoring a hat trick. This after George Turner had given Ironworks a 19th minute lead when he finished well after being put through by Will Bristow. Guliford equalizing in the 27th minute. Ironworks held on well until the 67th minute when Guilford scored his and Dudleston’s second. Jason Williams thens cored twice in as many minutes to make it 4-1. Ironworks lost their discipline and had George Tuner sent off for remarks to the referee. Jonathan Mitchell made it 5-1 Guilford then completed his hat trick with Scott Penrose making it 7-1 deep into added time. LLANYMYNECH 1 CROSS FOXES 1 Much improved Llanymynech held Cross Foxes to a 1-1 draw and had the better chances to win the game. Adam Herbert headed the Foxes ahead on 25 minutes. Simon Botley equalizing 10 minutes later, a Dan Hamilton corner found Botley at the far post whose shot went in off the underside of the bar. Botley and Matt Prince both went close in the second half denied by the Foxes’ ‘keeper. BLACK LION COLTS 3 OSWESTRY BELL 8 Bell keep up their outside chance of the title but very much in the hunt for the runners-up spot with a fine 8-3 win away at Black Lion. Gary Meredith and two goals from Sean Humphreys gave the Bell a 3-0 lead. Lee Morris pulled one back for the Colts. Elliot Howes and then Andrew Webb made it 5-1. Marc Griffiths gave the Colts late hope with a double strike but Bell completed their scoring with Howes (with his second) and a late double from Kev McGarvey to make it 8-3. |
