So, lately I've been messing around with the idea of actually going ahead with a version three of The Lair. Of course, based on tradition, it would require us to move to a new forum (hence the new version).
Thing is...I'd like to know if there's any interest for it out there. I mean, I could simply just revamp this one and clean it up some...or I could go all out and put us on a brand new forum (likely phpbb) that would be hosted on my own webspace (that I already have). Any thoughts from the few that remain? |

Sell yourself out and gather a new crowd of casuals. You could call it FO3.
But really, find a new group like your Canadian hockey freaks, add a few boards that have nothing to do with hockey, and then drag us into the circle like goth kids at a prep rally. We'll post a few times, and then disappear like the Sanctum peeps. Yo. |

The point of moving away from Proboards was due to extra features, or something. So if there's nothing fancy that can't be added here, revamp. If you want a new wave of members, move to a new place. This place is too big for new people ( plus I locked new memberships when forum bots became big a few years ago and we kept getting them ). If you started a new place you could also steal ideas from here for discussions. Although everything here is quite dated... these days it's all about keeping up with the latest memes. |

My issue with changing the place was that the people from here that may want to be a part of it would have to go through the whole signing up process again. I could just archive most of this place, shrink it down, spruce it up and make it relevant again.

You never look hard enough. I often forget to set my msn status to anything but the default 'appear offline'. Usually there after 1am, though.
