Australia is a virtual oil bowl . Their are hundreds of oil fields all over Australia .

Many of these fields were drilled back in the sixties and capped off .

I personally worked out in the felids in the early sixties carting water for the drillers . The workers wouldn't drink or bath in the bore water themselves because it smelt of sulphur and you cant blame them for that.

In the camp one night we were talking about the cost of drilling for the oil and gas when one of the bosses said they didn't have to worry about the cost because that Australian tax payers were footing the bill.

If that is the case and the tax payers paid for the oil to be found then one would think that the oil belongs to the people of Australia.

You also have to ask just how much is it costing BHP to get the oil from the oil wells to the oil companies for processing .

I have researched and found that it Costs BHP $5.00 Au per 44 gallon barrel to get oil from the wells to the refineries .

This being the case, then why are we paying so much for our petrol and diesel . When you consider that in some countries around the world petrol is a little as :

(Prices comparative in Australian Au$)

$1.12 a litre in USA

$0. 72 cents per litre in Mexico

$ 0. 4.2 cents per litre in Venezuela

$ 0.84 cents per litre in China

$ 0. 33.6 cents per litre in Egypt

$ 0.84.5 cents per litre in Malaysia

$ 0. 68 cents per litre in Indonesia

compared to $ 1.61 a litre in Australia.

Another valid question is why are we paying more for Diesel than petrol ?

Why is our oil that is the best in the world ( Light Sweet Crude ) being sold overseas and we are then buying back rubbish oils . How much are they selling our oils for and who is making the money off this oil .

Indeed, why is diesel so much dearer in Australia when the high quality oil that comes straight out of Australian ground can be put into your trucks fuel tanks and you can drive off . (It can be done, it just clogs up your fuel filters a bit quicker.)

Their was also talk of this oil being ran down into NSW and being mixed with diesel in the service stations .

Especially down around Wollongong, they were making a fortune out of it with no excise and they were buying at around 14 cents a litre back then .

So then, exactly just how much oil is there in Australia?

I have researched that this country has enough oil under ground in and around Australia to last us another two hundred years .

It has also been reported to me that we could at this time produce 177 % of Australia's oil needs .

We are being screwed by multi national companies and our own government .

17 Billion dollars a years is being made by government out of oil excise .

Where is that money going? Not back into roads and infrastructure .

Where is you motor registration money going?

Bad roads kill people , Bad roads wear out your vehicles much faster than good roads and the government collects taxes from every cent trying to keep you vehicles in a road worthy condition .

How much oil do we produce on a daily basis and why is that information so hard to find .

The Australian People Paid for the exploration of the oil back in the sixties .

YOUR TAXES PAID FOR IT .

THIS IS Australian oil OWNED by ALL the Australian people .

You are being screwed by the very people that you elected to represent you .

THE GREAT AUSTRALIAN OIL SWINDLE

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SPECIAL EXCLUSIVE UPDATE by SouthEast AsiaNews Guest writer: Tony Ryan

For Immediate Release:- 21st August 2008

(SEANEWS-Australian Bureau - QLD Office )

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Australia produces the best oil in the world… sweet light crude. Moreover, we have good supplies and can cover all our own fuel requirements. Our diesel is also of high quality and requires only particle filtering.

Yet industry insiders report that our oil is exported and low grade replacement oil imported, and with zero quality control; the only OECD country whose government permits this. Moreover, then Liberal Prime Minister Robert Menzies, signed Australia to the Oil Price Parity Agreement; effectively forcing us to pay the very highest international prices for our own oil.

Compare real prices per litre of petrol around the world.

Australia $1.61
United States $1.12
Mexico 72 cents
Venezuela 4.2 cents
China 82 cents
Egypt 33.6 cents
Malaysia 84.5 cents
Indonesia 68 cents

In terms of product quality, and recovery and production costs, we are closest to Venezuela. The oil companies claim they need the extra profits to cover exploration costs, but as in all things they lie; these have been covered by the Australian tax payer since the 1960s.

Ryan Research estimated that the Australian bowser price today should be 12 cents per litre or less; and applying generic production costs, America’s Lyndon La Rouche publication, the Executive Intelligence Review calculated 25 cents per litre; a figure published in the Australian Citizen’s Electoral Council, newspaper paper Citizen.

The salient questions are:

* For how much is Australian oil being sold?
* Who is profiting?
* Why do Rudd and Swan not immediately enforce fair prices? They know full well that high prices are crippling Australian industry, business, farms and families?

What can we do?

If you live in an electorate with an ALP Federal Member, round up every neighbour, colleague and citizen you can make an appointment to meet the politician in his or her Electorate Office on the Saturday when the politician is available to meet with constituents.

Demand answers and demand that Australians must be our Government’s first priority. Don’t forget to set a deadline for answers. And, please, no lynching. Sources: L. La Rouche, Citizen’s Electoral Council; P..Schuback, ALDODA; Ryan Research, Queensland.
