The Rules...
I know, I know everyone hates reading these rules because they are basically the same on every site. But we all know it needs to be done, so why not get it over quickly.
In Character Rules
First of all, when you register for this site please register with a first, middle, and last name. If you make a mistake you can PM an admin and we will gladly change it for you.
Please no net speak. Even if you talk like this on MSN or AIM or whatever, we don't want to see it on this site. Sure you may think it quickens things up a bit but actually it doesn't.
Good example: "Hey!" Lilly called out across the room.
Bad example: "heeeyyyy!!!!!" LiLlY cLlEd OuT aCrOsS dA rM.
See how annoying that was?
No god-modding. If you don't know what that is - it is where you control someone else's character. It is just plain rude when you try to control the other person's character. So please don't do it. If an admin sees this you will be warned.
Try to keep your swearing to a minimal. Of course your characters are going to swear, but don't make it every other word. There will be younger people on this board, and I'm sure they don't want to read it. No one does.
Sex, pregnancies, drugs are all allowed. This board is rated R for all that content. If you don't think you can handle it, or you get offended easily it would be a good idea if you leave right now. But there is a limit to those things. For pregnancies, please PM an admin. - if your reading this, post yellow in the first rules spot-Also if you have sex there will be consequences, just like in real life. So keep that in mind. If you are going to have a topic which deals with sex, please put a rating in the title.
If a topic is tagged do not reply unless it says your name. Simple enough.
For your post lengths, please try to make them at least one paragraph, (five or six sentences.)
Out of Character Rules
So the most important rule of all - respect. Us admin's don't need any OOC fighting. It's just rude and completely uncalled for. Even if someone may be bugging you, you don't need to start up a big scene. Just contact an admin and they will deal with it. Or maybe you two could sort it out over PM. Another thing that ties in with respect is absolutely no discrimination. If any of the admins see this you will automatically be banned, no questions asked.
Before you register please look at the member list. We don't want about five Kayla's or Tanner's running around. It is hard to keep track of people if they all have the same name. Spice it up a little bit, have an un-ordinary name. But please don't go over board with that.
There will only be one character per account. I know that basically everyone knows this but there are people out there who don't. So if you want more than one character, register with another account.
This brings me to my next rule. You can have up to four characters on this site. But for every girl you make, you must have a boy. We just want to even out the boy-girl ratio. So which means, you will have two boys, and two girls. Everyone must follow this rule. If you want more than four characters, PM an admin.
Advertising - the thing that keeps boards alive. Here at Spin Me Away, our advertising board is guest friendly which means anyone can post. But please only post your advertisement once. -if your reading this, post teddy bear in the second rules spot-
If you are going to role play here please make sure you have claimed a celebrity, and have a signature and avatar. It is just easier to visualize the other person while role playing. Also, please no vampire freaks, or Myspace models. Celebrities only.
Avatars no bigger than 100x100. Signatures no bigger than 500x200, or two rows of four icons, with a tiny bit of text. If you have any bigger you will get a warning.
See, that wasn't so bad right? So now that you have read the rules, you can go get started on your character's application, and start role playing after you have been accepted. So have fun!
