Axel N' Tom: The Communist Adventure (AWIP), ALot Work In Progress

So i am planning to do a simple 2D Platform Shooter dont know what program i should use. I have made about hmm 20-30% of the sprites and the story is quite in mind. Character design is ready and i might add somthing more to it. Weapon/Shop system is also thinked through mostly.
I could keep telling how much i am done whit the desing etc. but you should get the point: I am making game and i need advices and other nice things.
If you got questions just ask.

Your English is good bud, better then most who even learn it as a FIRST language.

Anyway, I'll list some programs, increasing in difficulty to make a game as the list goes down, but you'll have more freedom to make the game you want:

Click and Play: The most basic game maker your going to get. Can make a basic game in minutes, but little depth.

Games Factory 2: Consider this Click and Play but on roids. It's still very easy to use, but you can do alot more with it. I think you will need to either pay or get it illegally for the full version.

Game Maker: This one is alot more indepth, tools are still there to help you code your game, but your going to need to read alot of guides to know how to make something good.

Flash: No help from the programms to make games here, you need to know deep actionscrypt, but you can make any game with this much freedom.


There are alot of other game makers out there aswell, A friend of mine even had a program that was programmed for shooter type games, with heaps of preset gun weapons and melee weapons, aswell as enemies. Can't remember the name though.

Hey Start did you ever try Games Factory? It works just like click and play, just more things you can do with it.

Yup actually, and I agree. If you can get TGF, might as well; all the good scolly and stuff KnP lacks with the same <3 interface.

The only reason I dun use it is cuz we never bought it (we only own KnP and MMF on CD). After so many years I finally ran the demo for it and loved it to death (even made a game in time with it). I dunno why I haven't just downloaded it.

Soooo if you can get TGF then yes, like KNP+!
