Not bad man.But try and fire the port more to the front. Its facing almost to the rear window! If you can get it to face straight up it might help a bit!

That might be a problem. The bakkie has 2 nasty corrugations running behind the port and runs at the angle I have the port at. Moving the port is might upset the pressure wavey.gife buildup in the box.

I think I will modify my other box to fit in the port firing straight up.

Quick question : How do I manipulate the shape of a round port, to get it elliptical? If some1 can help me with this then I am also gonna run a 10" port to get more dB's.

Well just use winISD and see how many cubic cm you have in the 10" and then cange it to a square and just addjust size till you get same amount of cubes!!!

I was actually refering to the reshaping of a round plastic 10"port to a eliptical one. this is so that i can fit it in mybakkies narrow box.

I think i amgetting the whole ported box theory now. I have made my mind up - the otherbox is going under the knife soon - I must get that 140dB b4 end of year!

Need some help with getting my pressure to the windscreen. My meter measures 150+ dB 200mm above the port. Any recommendations to get it to the window???

measured with the seat down. 139.3 dB
with seat up. 139.4 dB
with passenger door open 135.8 dB

Noticed some interesting things. The sub box seems to be tuned +- 10Hz higher than what resonant frequency is. will readjust the port and see if I can get my 140dB by this weekend, maybe 140dB on the termlab at the next sound off.

Owning a dB meter sure makes my tuning a lot easier.

140 dB here I come smgun.gif

See with the seats down your tuning is not going to be right.Re-tune the port with the seats down and let me know what happens!
