Welcome to the World......

The boy had logged in just after reaching the house; his eyes were illuminated by the beautiful Mac Anu, which had an amazing glow about it from the suns reflections. The visor Amaethon’s player wore gave off heat, indicating that it was hot outside today. He looked up to see the burning sun and loosened his scarf a bit off of his face. Around him were other new players who he saw as potential recruitment members. Amaethon had just made a clan and wanted people to join, but he decided it was better not to ask everyone around him. That was far too noobish and rude.

So he wrote a letter that could be pinned on the bulletin of The World.

Taking place at the field Dazzling Pseudo Hypha, I will be recruiting members to my clan, A Symphony of Discord. The dungeon is a large, maze like cave with treasure in the middle that we can all share. Those who make an effort and display teamwork and manage to make it that far will have the option of joining the Discords clan. As of now I-being the leader-am the only member of A Symphony of Discord, but I’d really appreciate some new members.

Pressing the send button, Amaethon shrugged and began walking in the direction of The Chaos Gate, which wasn’t at all bad or evil as it sounded. In The World, Chaos Gates close the town of Mac Anu to the fields across The World, deterring monster attacks. On rare occasion, however, CC Corp's unique Events sometimes stage a battle in a server's Root Town. These gates allow access to all of the server's "fields," which contain Monsters to slay and Dungeons to explore. Players assemble a code of 3 keywords, and based on those keywords, are teleported to a field whose parameters are directly affected by each keyword's specific properties. Each keyword affects specific attributes of the given field, from the type of field, to the monster level and population.

These gates appear as a golden circular disc hovering in the air, spinning in circles, with a blue screen, as if to show into other worlds. When activated, the gate is encompassed by spinning golden bands, rapidly circling around it. Golden bands rapidly circle around the players downward, and the players are then teleported to their specified destination, appearing with golden bands spinning in circles around the player downwards. There are also special gates located throughout The World.
Amaethon walked towards the one in the center of Mac Anu’s plaza and decided to wait there. He expected some flash mail soon enough, but for now he would have to wait.

Eventually he would go to the field; Dazzling Pseudo Hypha, but he wanted to wait until he had more people to do it with before jumping in. The field was very flat, fertile land that is fairly slippery thanks to the constant rain that pours overhead. It’s the afternoon, but there’s no indication of the time of day since the sun has been blocked by thick rain clouds that look as though they will never go away. This Field seems perfect for newer fighters since it's an easy place to move around in and there's no distraction save for the slippery rain.

Welcome to the World......

Although still considered to be a 'N00b' in player terms. Alex was actually a veteran gamer. Playing on numerous platforms since he was a kid. But even with all that experience under his belt it was still difficult to adapt to the whole headset piece. The warmth on his face kept freaking him out. Constantly making him think that the piece of machinery was overloading or malfunctioning. I'm defiantly turning this hot-cold crap off one I'm offline. Its probably not good for the computer or for my skin. But now his thoughts we're more occupied with the city scape before him. As usual he moved to the bulletin board and checked the notices.

This piece of information in particular interested Alex the most. A new clan? That was perfect! He could start out with a player who knew the ropes and was able to help out. Al read the name again, Amaethon. Most players chose the name of a God as their title. And from the way this one sounded it was very possible that it was. Whether or not this was true was unknown to Alex. But he made a mental note to look it up later in the day. For now he'd move to the Chaos Gate in hopes of finding this character.

As Al walked through the bustling crowds of Mac Anu he looked at the various faces. Surprisingly there was a wide variety of people from different ethnic backgrounds playing 'The World'. It reminded Alex of a farmers market his parents would shop at from time to time. Lots of foreign faces screaming in a chaos of dialects and languages. A slight smile spread over Al's face as he pushed past a ground of Blademasters who had crowded around a shop. This was ridiculous. Hopefully he'd level up enough to get out of this overcrowded town.

When approaching the Chaos Gate, Al had a hard time finding this 'Amaethon' character. Not because there were alot of people but on the count of most of them being elaborately dressed. Unlike Al who had chosen a humble looking avatar. Bunch of anime nerds, thought Al with a small grin. Anime. Now there was something from the past that he'd hoped to leave. But now was not the time to concern himself with money lost. Right now he needed to find this clan leader. After some more looking he found the man and approached him with a rye smile,

"Howdy Amaethon, you posted the bulletin about starting the clan? Is it still open?"
