-- After "Thundering Sands, South Shores" --
Entico walked through the revolving doors of his hotel's lobby, stopping to shake hands and wave at guests and employees before making his way towards the elevator behind the lobby counter. As the doors shut, he pressed the button for the top floor. There was only one room up there, and only one elevator that went to it. The Grand Marquee was advertised as a 45-story hotel/casino. It was one of the taller buildings in the city, but still dwarfed by the engineering marvel that was the Empirical Tower. If you ever stood on the street and counted, you'd get to 46 before running out of floors to count. As the doors the the elevator glided open, Entico walked towards his desk and laid down the newly acquired stake, along with a handful of other trinkets he kept on himself if needed. He then slid into his closet to grab a new suit, one that wasn't quite as soggy. He moved back over to his desk and sat down. Pencil in hand, he labeled a piece of paper "C17" and affixed it to the stake. He then opened a notebook and added "C17 - Redwood Stake, Silver Core - Original owner deceased". There were hundreds of entries in this notebook and all of them were similar. Entico shut the book before sealing it with a small charm and placing it back in his desk. To say that Entico's bedroom had 4 walls would be a stretch. It had 3 wall's and a display case for a 4th wall; The northern wall. He carefully placed the trinkets he had with him in the case, including his glove, the stake, and a pristine white cloth, making sure to re-affix labels to the others. Looking down at his watch, the hands aligned to 11:20. "Damnit, Gotta go gotta go." The elevator doors slid shut and Entico's room was silent again, save for a low hum coming from the case. |

-- After "First Night Out, Club Eclipse" --
Entico made his way back through his hotel's lobby and into the elevator behind the counter. It took longer than he wanted for his elevator to make it's way up to the top. Entico has to feed just like any normal vampire, unfortunately the urge doesn't creep up slowly. It hits fast and hard. He figures it's partly because of the circumstances surrounding his embrace, and the the method he uses to obtain his blood. The elevator dinged as the doors slid open and Entico made his way to the northern wall. The low hum from his display case still emanating throughout the room. He kneeled down in front of it and began to input a security code on a small keypad. The steel cover slid down into the floor with a slight hiss from the pneumatics, and chilled air began to flow along the floor. Entico grabbed a small bag from inside and hit the lock button on the keypad as the pneumatics hissed again and the door slid shut. He sank his fangs into the plastic sealed bag, sucking the crimson liquid from inside. It was human blood from the local hospital. It didn't give the same sensation or fulfillment that you'd get from feeding on a live human, but it did what it needed to do as could be witnessed by his eyes shifting back towards a lightened blue hue. The elevator dinged again as the doors slid open. Entico's fangs still locked to the bag, drawing the last drops as he turned to see who it was that had just come into his room. |

Nobody.
Entico lowered the empty bag as he walked past his desk and dropped the bag into a trash bin. He licked his lips and glanced around his room before walking towards the elevator and sticking his head in and inspecting inside. Nothing. "Huh..." Shrugging it off he walked over to his case of artifacts and entered a code on the keypad, bringing a steel shutter down across the entire surface of the case. Entico couldn't feel any presence inside his room. Granted, it'd take someone powerful before his weaker senses could detect them so that wasn't saying much. "Hello?" No response. He didn't think that would work anyway, but it was worth a shot. The case was sealed and safe, so he had little concern of any kind of petty thief that might be sneaking in somehow. It wouldn't be the first time. Entico reached into the drawer of his desk and pulled out a pistol. It was almost laughably small, and held only 4 rounds. The silver-tipped bullets usually guaranteed that only one shot was ever needed, regardless. It's compact size made it very easily concealed on the inside pocket of his suit's jacket. It makes an excellent self-defense weapon in this city, all things considered. Entico stepped into his small elevator and looked out back into his room, listening intently for a few moments only to be rewarded with perfect silence interrupted only by the hum of the refrigeration unit beneath his case. Satisfied, he pushed the button for the lobby and the doors slid shut. |
