The night's rain had finally slowed down to a drizzle. The air, despite the rain, was still crisp and cool. This was Corvin's first night here in this new city. This new land that obviously was covered in many different creatures much like himself. Those who where not frail like the damned humans that covered every city elsewhere. Corvin's silver eyes glanced around the warehouses one more time before he stretched out his large black wings and he flew to another warehouse roof a few hundred feet away. He crouched and glared as he watch two teenage kids kick a ball around in the ally below him.
Stupid they where playing at night with all these creatures amongst them. Especially himself. He got quite a pleasure out of killing humans. Watching their tortured, frightened eyes before his own as he slowly and painfully killed them. Pity though that this city would be protected though it seemed by "Guardians". He wondered how those who fed on humans got by without getting in trouble. Of course, he would probably kill a few and see if these Guardians really existed. If not, this town would be fun. If they did, well.....it would still be fun. Corvin wasn't much for authority and hated being told he could not do something. He would find ways around the rules. Thunder rumbled in the distance. Corvin looked up towards the sky and noticed that the rain would soon pick up again. A storm, hummm....a opportune time to have fun. His eyes fell back down on the teens that had grown quite. They where staring at him with wide eyes. Corvin grinned to himself and crouched lower, casting odd shadows on himself that he knew made him look even more intimidating. "Hello there kids. You seemed shocked to see someone like me." He said, his voice haunting and cruel sounding. The taller teen, not more than 16 years old shook his head disagreeing with Corvin. The shorter one, probably around 14 grabbed the older ones shirt and tugged urgently. "Ahh, you are not surprised to see an angel? Why do you seem so eager to run then." Corvins voice sent chills down both boys spins that thrilled Corvin. His wings shifted and he folded them up as he stood and suddenly lept from the building down to the ground, only a foot away from the tall boy. The tall boy stepped back a couple of steps and the shorter one hid behind him. "We where just lea...leaving sir." The older one said, voice shaky and hoarse. Corvin stepped closer as he reached his hand out slightly. He motioned his index finger for them to come closer to him. The older boy tried to resist but as his mind told him to run for life, his legs moved forward towards Corvin. The younger one grabbed at his shirt trying to pull him back to him so they could run away, but his efforts where useless. "Wwwwwhat do you want from us!" the younger boy said screaming at Corvin his voice cracking in the process. Corvin grinned, showing perfect white teeth. His silver eyes seemed to glow as his hand made contact with the older boys skin. He tightened his grip on the boys soft neck and the boy started to gasp for air. Corvin grabbed his left arm and pulled down as he pulled up on the boys head, using only a little of his power just to torture the poor kid. The little teen turned and started to bolt but did not make it more than 20 feet before his body collapsed from under him. |

Lyveva stood on the tallest warehouse building and looked around. The rain was picking back up and she blinked and crouched down. She could sense a new mind around and she growled to herself seeing his disturbed mind. She slowly started picking memories out of it trying to see who and what she was dealing with. She snorted when she found out he was an arch angel and he was a cruel one at that. This one was going to give her problems and she was not to thrilled on that idea.
She stood up and jumped warehouse to warehouse to get to where he was located at. She sensed two mortals and growled to herself. This one was going to be a pain. She reached where the arch angel was and landed down beside the angel and the teen he was squeezing the life out of. She saw the younger teen on the ground lifeless. "STOP THIS INSTANT! What is the purpose for your killing!" She said her usual sweet voice, harsh. She prepared herself to harm him if he did not obey her command. |

Corvin was enjoying the last gasping breaths of the teen boy in his grasp when an attractive woman landed beside him. Her command to him had him smirk and he glanced at the teen in his hand. It was done. He let go of the limp body as it fell to the ground and he stepped back and faced the woman.
He could tell from her looks she was a vampire. But other than that, he knew nothing of her age or anything else other than she was annoying him and her commanding him angered him. Yet, he felt the sudden urge to annoy her and this pleased him in an odd way. Something about her made his playful, taunting side come forth. "Well dear lady, I am Corvin and new here. Am I breaking some unlisted rule of some sort?" He said his voice cool and cunning. He shifted his wings letting the water roll off of them. The rain now was coming down hard and thunder rumbled closer now. |

Lyveva growled annoyed at his ignorance. She could tell he was an ignorant one and could see in his mind that he was trying to push her. He was wanting to play. Well, play he would get.
"Corvin, in this city unless you are killing for food, you do not kill. If you fail to abide by the rules, you will die." She said smirking at him. Her eyes looked over him once determining his movements. He was a large arch angel. Probably one of the largest she had seen. She tried to pry more into his mind but growled as he put up a block. He must have figured she was reading through his mind. Irratated she glanced back at the two dead teens and walked over to them. She could save them, but not without them becoming vampires. Would it be worth it....maybe if this Corvin wasn't near her she would, but she didn't trust him and all she needed on top of her other worries was watching two newborns and this Corvin. Lyveva turned to walk off into the ally. She said to Corvin without turning around to meet his eyes, "You kill uneeded like this again, and I will kill you." |

Corvin could not help but smirk at Lyveva the entire time she spoke to him. She made his heart race which almost never happen and he couldn't tell if it was because she was a vampire or if he just really felt something for her. He could feel her prying into his mind so his mental block went up to keep her out so she wouldn't gain anymore information than she already had from him. Something that would normally have him fuming, but he just shivered from pleasure almost.
"Killing me would be interesting for you there dear." He called back to her. He hoped that she would turn back to him. He wanted to talk to her more....to try to seduce a vampire. That would be fun if he could do so. He grinned his toothy grin at his own objective that he planned to try and accomplish. "It isn't easy to kill an arch angel. Even for a vampire." He continued stifling a short laugh. |

Lyveva stopped dead in her tracks and hissed at his remark. She suddenly turned and was instantly only inches from his face. Her eyes once white, where instantly blue with anger. Her teeth showed in a dark grin when she spoke.
"Angel, you have no clue who I am do you. Are you seriously that ignorant that you can't recognize not only an Ancient, but the original vampire?" She stood, body on the edge of placid and ready to pounce on him and rip his body apart. She just wanted to get home and calm down and this Corvin was really pushing her to her limits that she had worked on for thousands of years to perfect. If he drew her over the limit, she didn't know if she could trust herself around the city, to protect it from monsters that she would become if he continued. |

Corvin's eyes widened as Lyveva suddenly appeared before him. Damn she was quick and he blinked once his smirk disappearing. Maybe she was more than she appeared to him. When she told him she was an ancient, he was thrown back. He figured she was an older vampire, but the first! An even better challenge than he originally planned for. His shocked expression turned back into his snooty smirk that he knew had to irritate the vampire.
"No, I had no clue who you where." He said softly. "You say it as if you expect everyone on this planet to know automatically. Remember, I am new here and I do not know much of this place or even your kind. Where I am from, vampires where a rare site." , he said folding his arms against his chest. He shifted his weight to one foot and slanted his body slightly to one side and he lifted an eyebrow. Ohh, this was going to really get her going. He didn't hope to fight her knowing that she was an extremely powerful quick vampire. He wouldn't have a chance her being so close to him. He stretched his wings out and let them hang open as the rain came down even harder. Lighting lit up the ally and Corvin squinted his eyes in the bright light. |

Lyveva hissed loudly and when lightning struck nearby, sending a blinding light throughout the ally way, she grabbed ahold of Corvin's throat and had a tight grip. The only way for him to escape her grip is if she decided to let go. Even though breathing wasn't necessary for her, she did so deeply just to show how angry she was. The rain fell down hard around them, so hard her hair was loosing some from her bun and some wet strands fell around her face sticking to her cold hard skin.
"Corvin, I could easily break your neck right here before you could even blink. I would suggest you leave this town." She hissed as her eyes glared up at him. Despite his tall height she seemed to tower of him. Lyveva's ears suddenly focused on some voices nearby. She could tell they where human. Her grip had loosened a little as her attention went towards what they where saying, but her eyes stayed on Corvin's. |

Corvin's face hardened and he glared at Lyveva as she grabbed his throat. Her grip was tight and firm. He knew he couldn't get away from her grip without dying in the process. His mood shifted as he started to anger and he started drawing up energy to summon his shadow beast. When Lyveva's attention went elsewhere he felt her grip loosen just enough and suddenly he disappeared from where he once stood leaving a mist of black and purple.
He suddenly appeared back on top of a warehouse a good distance away and he shook his head. He narrowed his eyes at Lyveva who stared up at him in obvious anger. His body was slightly glowing with the shadow energy he was drawing upon. "You are wrong about me bloodsucker. I am not something you want to fuck with either.", he said his voice hoarser than normal and it seemed to have a faint echo to it. With that he stretched out his wings then folded them back once and he disappeared into thin air. |

Lyveva growled as she blinked and Corvin was no longer in her hand. She looked up and found him on a building and glared at him. As he spoke his words she snorted and watched him disappear. She stood alone in the ally way and she went through her thoughts of what just happened. She made a mental note of Corvin's ability to teleport and she then turned around and jumped up on the warehouse and made her way back to her apartment.
