Hamburg / Los Angeles (dpa) - Two weeks before their new album "Humanoid" Tokio Hotel will release in mid-September, the single "Automatisch". In English "Automatic".

"Bill and Tom were on their way from their hotel to our studio, because we wanted to start the vocals with bill" said producer David Jost dpa. "Just before the boys arrived in the studio, Bill called out of the car and said that he has just an idea for a song, that should be called automatic" The actually song recordings were canceled. "We have finished the complete song in the studio in less than two hours", said Jost, who is also manager of the Magdeburg band. "However, this did not run with all songs in such a way, with some we have fought ourselves through the whole night"

"This is different with every song," said singer Bill Kaulitz. "We have no recipe. There are a few songs from which we have done several interversions, until we were finally satisfied. "Beside Bill to Tokio Hotel belong his twin brother Tom as well as drummer Gustav Schäfer and bassist Georg Listing.

New album from Tokio Hotel is called "humanoid"


Hamburg (dpa) - The fans of Tokio Hotel do not have to wait much longer: The new album of the Magdeburger Teenie-rocker comes in the first week of October, and is called "Humanoid". The band informed manager David Jost Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa with.

"Bill (Kaulitz) wanted the new album around the world just a name," said Jost. The word "humanoid" is the science-fiction and language is taken from anthropoid.

The first two album of the internationally successful musicians got for the English market is still another name: "Scream" for the first album "Schrei", which came out in September 2005, and "Room 483" for "Room 483" dated February 2007.

To include Tokio Hotel singer Bill Kaulitz (19) his twin brother Tom Kaulitz (guitar), drummer Gustav Schäfer (20) and bassist Georg Listing (22). The band has in recent years become a German export hit moulted their songs stormed the charts in several countries.

According to prices in the home ( "Golden Tuning Fork", "Echo", "Golden Camera") followed by 2008 of the International triumphant: The musicians were the best young band at the MTV Video Music Awards in the U.S., acknowledged as the first German group at the MTV Latin America Awards and won for best live band at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

Finally, some good news out of Tokio Hotel base camp! Tokio Hotel's LOOOOOOOOONG-awaited next album titled was revealed, AND we have a sort-of release date!

Tokio Hotel's next album will be called HUMANOID (it's not necessarily in all caps -- I just got really excited) and it'll be released in October. I hope. Which means they should just go ahead and officially change the name of month of "October" to ROCTOBER! Or better yet, RAWKTOBER! Also, that title is SO Bjork. I cannot WAIT to see the album art. I hope it's super futuro.

The Humanoid update came via Tom Kaulitz's blog, so thank Tom for the update!

Also, the guy who attacked Gustav in a bar turned himself in. GOOD! Grrr!

Tokio Hotel's New Album Humanoid Due October 2
Producer/songwriter David Jost shares details about the German quartet's next LP.

Attention Tokio Hotel fans: Circle October 2 on your calendars.

That's the day the German quartet will release their new album, Humanoid, according to producer/songwriter David Jost.

In a statement to MTV News, Jost said it's "now certain" the new TH album will be released October 2, and it draws influences from the world of science fiction — or at least frontman Bill Kaulitz does.

"Bill has already given a name for the new record: Humanoid. The word 'Humanoid' comes from the science-fiction language, meaning 'humanlike,' " the statement reads. "This word is pronounced differently in the English and German language but is written the same way in both languages. Bill wanted the new record to have only one name worldwide: Humanoid."

The actual release date for the album was posted on Tokio Hotel's official fan site.

Aside from the title and release date, not much else is known about Humanoid. In early 2009, production team the Matrix told MTV News that they had recorded eight songs with Tokio Hotel and that the material was "strong, anthem-y" stuff with a dark edge and "lots of guitars." It's not known if any of those songs will make the final cut of the album. According to multiple sources, Humanoid will be released in both German and English.

Just last month, snippets of two English-language tracks — "Dark Side of the Sun" and "Pain of Love" — hit the Net, both of which will reportedly be featured on Humanoid. Within hours, those snippets were removed, but they can be found on sites like YouTube.

Cover Art Prediction For Tokio Hotel's 'Humanoid' Album


Now that the "katze" is out of the bag about Tokio Hotel's new album -- it'll be out October 2nd, and it's called Humanoid, I'm already fantasizing not just about the songs (because that's for about 292939 other posts) but about the album cover, photography, and cover art.

With a sci-fi-inspired name like Humanoid, I'm pulling for a cover that combines robotic-like elements of Janet Jackson's Discipline album cover and "Feedback" single art, both of which were photographed by Singapore fashion photographers Chuando + Frey.

The name Humanoid immediately strikes a Bjork-esque chord (hopefully in the good way), so I'd love to see Tokio Hotel do a sci-fi future/fashion cover along the lines of the cover of Bjork's 1997 Homogenic album, which was art directed by Alexander McQueen himself and photographed by Nick Knight. (Homoogenic always feels a little Handmaid's Tale-ish to me.)

Of course, Bill, Tom, Gustav, and Georg will give the album cover their own special je ne sais quoi to Humanoid, but if they employed the assistance or inspiration of any of the aforementioned -- or Daniel Jackson, who shot their H&M Fashion Against AIDS t-shirt photos -- I wouldn't be mad at 'em.
