After a lot of soul searching and many threads in the past. I have decided that the use of Pseudonyms will no longer be acceptable for posting Members of the TALKINGBOULES forum.

Now this should not really effect too many people, But I do appreciate that some people want to post certain things with out fear of recriminations.

My plan is thus.

All members who wish to post will contact me the Admin and Creator Of talkingboule and inform me of their real name and region/club they play for.

This information will not be for public viewing, It will be for my records only, unless the need arises for me to pass that info on to someone for legal reasons.

More than once I have been threatend with legal proceedings and should someone carry that threat out, then I feel its only fair that Im protected.

I have been asked in the past to unmask members of this forum for various reasons, and of course I have never done so nor will I ever do so in the future.

Time scale for this has not been set, But If you would like to start sending your info to me as soon as possible, so that I can start to create a new permission mask.
Those that do not wish to post can keep the identity seceret. But the option to post will be removed and they will need to reqest that option to be replaced whilst supplying me with the details I require.

Im sure we will lose one or two members because of this action, Its possible we may even gain some. I have been told this is abnormal for forums. But is this really like other public forums? I dont think so.

If I lose too many posters then I may review this decisision in the future.

Ian,

The data you request is as follows

Re: "jack-and-mo"

All know who I am I thought & hope, the above for clarity being a mix of my christian name & 'er-indoors' - simple.

My 'profile' gives all other open useful info.

Jack Milner, "Old Sheaf PC" (the location & venue of the original & very first "Wheatsheaf PC"), Kent - previously South East Region.

Jack
