MUHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHHA!!
Being a poor asian like my self (slash) crazy gamer (slash) typical sucker for final fantasy, I wanted to know how you can hack the PSP SLIM. Why Slim? I just saw a video where the difference of loading was 13 SECONDS!!!
I heard something about a firmware...and about how the mother board crashed with downloaded firmware and shit...so is there an legitimate hack out yet for the slim?
pretty please?

THat would be great except there are barely any loading times if you use a memory stick and iso in the normal PSP.

Unfortunately, the Slim isn't designed to use that 1.5 firmware we all love so much, so like you said, it'll crash if it's used. >o>
And I don't think there's any hacks as of yet, either...
Edit: I take that back. I just looked on one of the sites I visit periodically and it seems they've made something interesting... I'll tell you more when I see if it's what I think it is.

Humm...I found some "Bricked PSP" on ebay. Bricked PSP is the one with broken Mother Drive, right? And I also heard you can fix it with "Pandora's Battery"...
Someone tell me moar about that :3

Pandora's Battery is a program that turns a battery and a memory stick into a homebrew Holy Grail. It basically unbricks any PSP, downgrades to any firmware, and everything that lower firmware allows... Only problem is that you need a PSP that can already use homebrew to convert the battery and memory card. There are people on eBay that both sell the set or have you send the PSP and they convert the PSP for you. Kinda scetchy, but it's the only way, sadly...

I dunno...Don't you need like, at least a 2gig memory chip to play all available psp isos? I heard 1.8 is the biggest around :3
NecroZerumus - October 18, 2007 12:55 AM (GMT)
I would get a PSP if I knew how to hack it. >_>
Goroke - October 18, 2007 06:21 AM (GMT)
I heard it's pretty easy and cheaper than DS Flash Carts...Well, almost. *Cough*atleast2gbmemcard*cough*

So if I have this straight:
First step: Downgrade the PSP to 1.5 firmware according to the version you have right now
Step Two: Install 3.10oe
Step Three: ????
Step Four: Profit
And that's how it becomes a homebrew and able to play any ISOs in the Memory Stick?
And as for the Pandora's Battery: You have to install that into the newly transformed firmware, convert the memory stick and battery, and then transfer them both to the PSP Slim?
