Huh?
Anyways, i think it should work with regular coke because the only different ingredients I can think of is sugar vs. aspertaime (spelling?) and if it is not the aspertaime, then it should work with regular coke. also why not pepsi? besides probably different quantities of ingredients, the only difference between coke and pepsi is that pepsi has citric acid in it. |

it should but...it's not the ingredients, it's the dissolved CO2 that makes it foam up like that

1. good question, you should find out how and test it.
2. most likely. if you google diet coke mentos you can find some reasons why it happens and other things to try. |

2. he said it's the CO2.
3. my uncle said that a guy put dry ice in a pop bottle with pop or something highly reactionary to dry ice, shook it up a ton, said something like, "i gotta get away from this thing," threw it at the ground at it exploded and knocked him over. 4. Across the street from the same uncles' house, the day after I was there visiting, a bunch of helicopters, firetrucks, police cars and a S.W.A.T. team busted all the windows in of a house and arrested the guy for drugs. |

1. Fine.
2. Yes. 3. Yes. 4. Selling I think, and yes he was. 5. Look up. I have decided to do an experiment with the following pops: Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, Sprite, 7Up, Pepsi, Coke, Diet Coke, with the following breathmints:Icebreakers( in the round tin), Altoids, Tic-Tacs, and mentos. I have yet to complete or even start this experiment, I will need to take care of it sometime in the next week and I will note results. Please tell me what kind of information you would like to get from the results so I know what exactly to look for. |

I think it was both either way.
Oh yes and back on tpic, I watched Mythbusters and they found out the key ingredients. Pop:CO2, aspartame, potassium benzoate and caffeine. (these last three do a lot, because plain soda water doesn't fizz up more than about three inches) Candy: Gum arabic, gelatin and lots of nucleation sites. (The last is key, smooth candy does not work very well) |

I liked it when they blew up a tower of soap bubles by blowing methane through a bucket of dish soap suds and then lighting it on fire!

What I want is the access to all the explosives and gases they have. For example methane. Lots and lots of methane.

Good idea, but it would be difficult to isolate the methane from all the other gasses.
