Hello there everyone, we've not been as active as we had hoped, but I am willing to get us going again. If I were a part of the admin group this would be easier to do, what with mass E-mails and such, however, we have to do with what we've got. So, here are a few suggestions that have been brought up and what we could do.
Skip to the war, keep everyone's ages the same and just fast forward us to the wars, we could start with geonosis if we wanted, or even a different battle, up to you.
Now besides the skipping to the war, there are a few other plots that are possible, one being based on the separatist allies, such as the criminal syndicates and dark jedi. They're all working together and with help from the separatists and their shipyards/factories they create a new ship, one that's been looked over by staff before now, who use this ship as a threat to the republic, and maybe the separatists in their want for power and influence, maybe they all go maverick and try to stop the war, who knows? But that's one possibility.
Other major/sub-plots are also welcome and please do be honest, lets try and save this place at all costs.

i like the idea of starting the war up. I mean its a plot everyone and anyone can get into and it leaves plenty of action fur just about everyone. I say we start the war

Well, Saphira and I were going to start a sub-plot involving Nute Gurnay hiring a group of characters to basically assassinate the leader of a company to usurp control over to the Trade Federation.
As for starting the war, I don't think we should be too hasty on the idea. The seperatists are still an idea at this point. Besides, we don't have enough canon members to even decide if the first battle between the two is even Geonosis.
I suggest, however, that maybe we do a few sub-plots that further the timeline of this roleplay maybe five years.

I have no misgivings about, or lack of confidence in the cause in which I am engaged, and my courage does not halt or falter. How great a debt we owe to those who went before us through the blood and sufferings of the revolution and I am willing, perfectly willing to lay down all my joys in this life to pay that debt."

well, we have one for the war, and two or three for the sub-plots that advance the years along.
Pitch your sub-plots and try to find participants, like Jango and gunray would do well, and maybe mine might do good with some backing, who knows. But pitch your ideas (mine being the ship idea, an artifact search, or creation of a little militia) and see if we can't get a few of these rolling.
I'm for the war as well, I'm for anything that means activity really..

The "Sec Pi" character I'm making I want dead by the time the war starts, and He's going to be sort of Nute Gunray's version of Sidious's Darth Maul. Perhaps Palpatine could try to have Zec Pi dead for whatever reason.
I'm open to having Zec be an agent for the Trade Federation agains't jedi and what not.

I'm also for any idea that will help enhance activity and involvement. As I see this board having a lot of potential of growing into a very active and attractive role playing experience.
My character being forcefully involved in independent crime will eventually will have to take a side in the upcoming war, whether it be his eventual encounter with Dooku (which I hope I have a chance to have) or rejoining the Jedi Order and fighting for the Republic. So in essence, a few sub plots wouldn't be a bad idea.

I think Dooku will be a little dead if we're skipping to the war, something that we really need to figure out. Replacement: Viera is the new sith apprentice.
Nute, I'm not sure what to think about the Sec Pi char, but at the same time I really don't understand it.
As for starting the war, my impression was that the true inciting event for the war was the discovery of droid factories on Genosis, and the discovery of the Cloners of Kamino. The simultaneous discovery of these phenomena is where Palpatine's manipulative ability is really demonstrated.
So... Enough ego petting. If we're going to make the jump, we need some kind of a parallel to that situation.

If we skip to the battle of Geonosis, Dooku is very much alive at that point. That's not a sticking point or anything for me, just stating fact.
If Viera is the new Sith Apprentice, she could easily be the one I run into rather than Dooku, and have her try and use me much of the same way Dooku used Ventress, if I chose to go that route rather than reuniting with the Jedi Order and fighting for the Republic. Still gives me several eventual story line plots to follow when the time comes.
I have a suggestion Palpatine, that you use Viera much of the same way Palpatine used Dooku. Being that we currently don't have anyone to play Dooku, you could use Viera to take that role in the story line. I also agree with you that a good start would be around the time of regarding discovery of the droid factories on Geonosis and the Clone Army discovery on Kamino.
I don't like the idea of my character being eventually killed off for the Greatest Emo EVAR.
<.< How about we don't make me Dooku 2.0.

I wasn't meaning that you had to have the same fate as Dooku, just that you followed a similar importance. Dooku has a very important play during the Clone Wars that goes beyond just what you see in the movies. Much of why Palpatine chose him was due to his vast wealth and powerful contacts not just his raw power and ability.

Joshe, I'm going to put it out there that this is very much an alternate universe board, so, as far as I know, Dooku's fate until someone wants to play him is basically up to us, and his state as my character's apprentice I claim the rights to his destiny!
And I want the chiff sucker dead, before genosis.
Also Joshi, if you wish to become a sith acolite, please PM me, and we'll get on working on that subplot.
And I agree with Jango, we need a good Idea of what's what.
Except Viera isnt vastly rich or anything like that, she was a Jedi who's spent most of her life slumming it on the Outer Rims working as a bounty hunter/enforcer.
Rawr.
