Distinguishing features: Of course, Zec follows His species' traits of being quite Carniverous (sometimes Cannibal, in fact), having four legs, and a defensive ball form (which actually created the idea to produce the droideka). He has his own other traits, however, as well. Zec Pi, unlike His species, does'nt have a strong dislike for the jedi, partly due to his raising in the jedi order. His other trait is His his own lust for using His lightsaber other than peaceful negotiations.
General appearance: Like his species, Zec doesn't wear any form of clothing, other than a belt holding His lightsaber. Zec has several scars upon His body due to several missions for the jedi order. His skin is a dark brown, and He seems to be much more agile than His brethren (or it could be His mastery in force speed).

Personality: He is very much similiar to General Grievous. Zec is cold, ambitious, and very strategic in His missions. When an event changes the missions, He will be quick to change the plans to lead to success. He is'nt evil, however, but grim, partly due to his recent exile from the jedi order. If anything, He still has several morals He chooses to uphold, such as not killing the innocent and the weak, but perhaps that's what makes Greivous a better strategist than Zec Pi.

History: Childhood: Born upon Colla IV, Zec Pi was raised as any other Colicoid; cannabalistic and xenophobic to jedi. However, it was during a jedi mission to Colla IV (taken by Jedi knights Kal Ix and Sojen) to aprehend the jedi killer Y'k Pi, also Zec's mother. During a large shootout and an explosion, Y'k was contained through Sojen's mind tricks and Kal Ix's speed. Sojen, however, found the infant Zec on Colla IV, also finding him force-sensetive. This was quiet a rare find, especially with the hatred for the jedi so connected with the species' culture. Sojen brought the infant to the jedi council, who had decided to let jedi knight Sojen teach the Colocoid, although they warned Him that such a species was qould be quite difficult to rid of their instincts, those being a hatred for jedi and cannabalism. The young jedi knight who had once followed His teacher, Kal, had just became a teacher.
Sojen immediately begun training, starting with showing His padawan how to deal with His instincts and defeat them with the force. Zec had much difficulty with this, but ultimately, through much meditation and by concentrating on the force, He successfully overcame this instinctive urge. This was'nt without warning. There would be times that He would have a certain "bloodlust", forcing him to meditate.
After controlling His urges to eat flesh, Zec Pi was trained in several lessons, including Shii-Cho and several core techniques. Zec seemed to have an affinity in controlling His body through the force. Sojen was pleased by this, as so was his past teacher, Kal Ix. Kal then promised to teach Zec to master Force Speed, as well, to accomidate his past master.
At this point, Zec was almost ready to fulfill his knighthood, but needed to both construct his lightsaber and complete the jedi trials. Zec successfully completed his lightsaber, giving it a green lightsaber from the planet, Ilum. The jedi trials, however, were much more difficult for him to complete.
The first trial Zec completed was the trial of the spirit. During one of His mad fits for flesh, Sojen, ordered Zec not to concentrate on the force, but to rather meditate in Sojen's chambers (Sojen had become a master a year later, giving Him his own room), while Sojen stood there, watching him. Zec meditated even with the redolent scent Sojen gave off. Hunger, struck, however, and Zec ripped His master apart, eating His corpse. After fulfilling His long lasting hunger. Ashamed of this, He ran out. To his amazement, however, Sojen was outside and unscathed.
